A couple of challenges

I had a crafting evening last night as I needed to amke a couple of birthday cards, so I thought I would have a go at a couple of challenges at the same time.
The first challenge I tackled was this week's Colour Create, and the theme is orange, brown and green with the option of making a cards for a man. I quite like making cards for men as I like the earthy colours and its nice not to use flowers! I have made 2 cards, one for a birthday in the next couple of weeks and one for a birthday in June ... I wonder if a certain wife can guess her hubby's card? (Jo!!!)
I haven't inked Hamish up for ages, so he has come out for this challenge. I coloured him in distress inks and inked the edges. I used these fab BG papers, and cut along the colour lines on the stripy paper to remove the blue element, and add a bit of interest. I added a BG rub on to finish it. There are no embellishments as to be honest unless I can find landrover or cannon brads I might as well forget it!!

For the second card I used this image as I had a spare one stamped up from the other day, and I think it suits the colour theme really well. Again it is coloured in distress inks and the edges inked up. I used the same papers as before and pretty much the same layout rotated. The sentiment is a BG rub-on. I added 3 buttons to it to finish it off.
After all that earthiness I tackled the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge with a splash of ... pink!! There challenge is to use charms on your creation.
I watercoloured the image and matted her onto pink cardstock and K and Co papers. I used my Fiskars threading water punch to create the scalloped edges. Sorry the photo is not brill (cat's indoors as it is pouring down and is being .. ermm ... helpful!! So I will try to get a better one later), but I added the ickle silver charm to the punched flowers and swirls, and forgot the ribbon, but it doesn't seem to be missing the ribbon.
Well its time to pack Ellie off to pre-school so I'll catch up with you all later.
Recipe:
Stamp(s): Sugar Nellie Hamish with tractor, To Catch a Big Fish, Basketful of Happiness
Colouring Media: Distress inks
Papers: Basic Grey Archiac, K and Co
Embellishments: Basic Grey Archaic rub-ons, punched flowers and swirls, buttons, charm and gems from stash
