Sarah Kay challenge sketch

I have managed to get the Sarah Kay challenge sketch done this evening.
I love these K and Co papers and think the Sarah Kays sit really well on them. The cream lace is from my stash and the flowers are Primas. The peeloff is from stash - not something I often use but it seemed to fit.

Thanks for looking.

two challenges in one

Well we're back from my Mum and Dad's all in one piece (the motorway was its usual car park!) It has been quite relaxing and I have had time to do some blog hopping and make a couple of cards!! Oh and do a bit of craft shopping!

I have combined the Papertake weekly challenge (stitching) and the Spoonfull of Sugar challenge (3 different ribbons).
I love this Sugar Nellie stamp and have matched her with some K and Co papers for an autumnal feel. Summer seems to be disappearing fast and autumn is beginning. We have already got conkers coming down in the garden.
I am in love with ric-rac at the mo and lace. I used some very thin brown riboon to 'stitch' through the lace.
The flower is a prima and the brad from my stash.

Hope you like it,
Hugs

Papertake sketch challenge

This is lovely Sarah Kay is a stamped image from Vicky. It instantly brought to mind Laura Ingolls Little House on the Priaire. I have used K and Ko papers and watercoloured the image in greens and reds. The lace ribbon is form my stash.

It is a lovely image, just a bit fiddly to colour! Still thinking of the opening credits where they run down the hill ... come on admit it you remember it too!!!

Spoonfull of Sugar sketch

This week's Spoonfull of Sugar challenge is a sketch.
Here is our (as in me Ellie and Beth's) interpretation of it. I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie, Sweet Ebony image (Penpal) and watercoloured her in tourquoise and purple. I have used my Making Memories papers to matt and layer her onto. The ric-rac is from stash. I haven't added any text yet - maybe later, but definitely not any flowers!

Ps I had originally had gems on the card in the corners as detail, and a scroll, however they are now on a fairy card that is drying out (courtesy of Ellie and a bottle of glitter glue)

Blue Tilda

The challenge over at Tilda and Co this week is to create a card using just blue and white.
I have used cardstock and embossed it using my cuttlebug embossing borders. The dotty papers is DCWV adhesive matt stack. The flowers are thanks to Vicky (and Beth for taking them off the card Vicky sent!) and the swirl is from a sizzix die. I have added gems and brads from my stash.

Sarah Kay Charm

This week's Sarah Kay challenge is to use charms, pendants or dangles! I don't have any charms in my stash, however Vicky has sent me a lovely card with a charm and some beautiful flowers on it. Sadly Beth has started to de-construct it as only a nearly 2 year old can!! So I have taken the charm off it (before she eats it!!) and put it in this card. Thank you Vicky! It is supposed to hang down, but it insisted on flying in the scanner!
The papers are K and Co and Making Memories and the flowers are Prima. The ric-rac is from my stash.

Friday sketcher Sarah Kay

This week's Friday Sketcher has been designed by Murmur and it is a gorgeous sketch.
This is my interpretation of it. I have used a Sarah Kay stamped for me by Vicky, and K and Co papers. The cardstock and braid is from stash, and the text is cut out from a K and Co paper.
I love the thin braid wrapped over the card - definitely going to do that again.
The sketch showed the image as a square/oblong, but I have been playing with my new nestibilities so its oval!!

A challenge or two!

I have combined the Penny Black Saturday Challenge with the Cute Card Thursday challenge.
For the PBSC you needed to use ribbon and for the CCT challenge you needed to use something associated with soft furnishings.
The ribbon is self explanatory and a little less than I would have liked but less is more as my hubby often quotes!!
The soft furnishings aspect comes from the stitched orange backing paper and the ribbon.
I have been really brave on this card and gone for bright orange and green, and it seems to have worked.
The stamps are obviously PB , the flower paper is DCWV Pocketful of Posies matt stack, the flowers, brads and ribbon from stash.
I have made this for a friend for her birthday - just hope she likes orange!!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

I have finally finished this week's Papertake Challenge. I love this sketch.
I had a slight problem that my corner rounder broke half way through so there is a mix of rounded and straight edges!
I have used Hamish and his trtactor, K and Co's Hopscotch papers and brown and orange cardstock. The sentiment is a gift form my lovely SBS sister Kylie.

Tilda sketch

The Tilda and Co challenge this week was a sketch. Having done the pastelly, floral card for the Sarah Kay challenge I decided to use something a bit bolder for this one. I have used Papermania's Floral Retro papers and brown cardstock and brads. No other embellishments as the papers are a bit fussy!

Sarah Kay challenge

The Sarah kay challenge this week is to use three buttons and three jewels, and the Spoonfull of Sugar challenge is to use something recycled on your card. I don't usually use buttons, so have recycled some off some clothes that Beth has grown out of!!
I decided to use some delicate floral papers for a change so Ihave used these lovely lilac and green papers by Making Memories. The heart jewels are by papermania and the ric-rac from stash.

ABC challenge... E is for

The ABC challenge is to use embellishments on you card.
I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp and matted her onto K and Co papers. The lace has been 'antiqued' in the teapot, and some ric rac added. The flowers are prima and the brads from my stash.
I used a sketch from Katharina as it was such a fab sketch to work with.
Hope you like, and please have a go at the challenge.

I'm back!!

The internet is finally working after 2 weeks of problems.
I'd love to say I have spent the time crafting but ... I haven't! We've been really busy.

Anyway I have finally got down to trying to catch up on a few challenges.
I have combined the Friday Sketchers sketch with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
I decided to have a go at using no patterns, so got the embossing folders out and some bold colours. I have reversed the brown paper so its dimples not dots.
I love this image, so cheeky!
A simple card, but I am getting back into the swing of crafting again!
