The image is a LOTV one, I embossed the cardstock with a gears folder and then distressed everything with vintage photo ink.  I cut the stars out using my nesties, and wrote part of the sentiment and stamped the rest using an alphabet set i have (really don't like the r!!).  Finally some hessian lace to add a bit of texture ... done, just in time to get the girls and go!!

CRAFT GDT challenge

This is my final week as GDT for the CRAFT challenge, and the theme is make your own embellishments.

Now I have always had a bit of a soft spot for Little Cotton Rabbits, and own Albie and Winifred, and my younger sdaughter adores Winifred particularly, often stamping her up and colouring her in, before sticking her all over her bedroom!!  So I treated her to the full set of Little Cotton Rabbits ... and got Ballerina.  We had a colouring session at the weekend, me, Beth and the wee bunnies - I coloured Ballerina very much to Beth's specifications ... not what I would have chosen!! As the colours really don't match any papers I have, we have gone for WoW for this card - I say we as Beth 'helped' me with the embossing - she does love my CB!!! Having embossed the cardstock, we distressed it and created 'snow' all over my desk ... perphaps more snow than was really necessary!!!!  I cut the roses out of felt using a Marianne Creatible die, rolled them and added flat pearls.  Beth wanted butterflies (???) so she puched some out and we added a pearl to one of them.  Finallt some foliage, ribbon, viva decor pen pearls and some more flat backed pearls, and a LOTV sentiment and we were done.

Whilst Beth is an eager bunny on the colouring and creating front, she is rubbish at tidying, so it took me a while to get myself all straightened out!!

 Challenges:
Sugar Bowl - sketch
Creative Stamp friends - new stamp
Crafty Boots - children's stories (velveteen rabbit)
Stamptacular Sunday - bling it on
Pile it on - fabric/felt

WOYWW

Its Wednesday, and this week needs to be going just a wee bit faster than it is!!!!  Its also hubby's birthday today - he's got to work late so we will be celebrating at the weekend.
As it is Wednesday its time to have a peek at people's crafty work space courtesy of the lovely Julia.  Here's mine last night ...
In the middle of the 'making birthday boy his card' session!!!  Like to leave things to the last minute - adds a bit of spice to the occasion!!!  So here is my colouring ... and a bit of snowflake spray masking I did before I got onto the colouring.  Oh and in the background some of Beth's colouring - she thinks she might, just might put these onto cards!!

And here is the card in all its glory!!!
LOTV Striker image, coloured in promarkers and flexpens, and the dp is Basic Grey.  Sentiment stamp from Whimsy.  Just a wee bit of twine, no other embellishments - well I'd only take them off when the card came down!!

Embellishment heaven!!

I love Krista Smith's images, from the rubber Simply Sassys from Sugar Nellie, to her own Saturated Canary digi range, and now her fab rubber stamps. This is Autumn, and I coloured her using my promarkers.  I went for a soft autumn colour palette, rather than rich reds and greens this time.  The dp is First Edition Boho Chic and it has all been treated to a bit of distressing courtesy of my trusty TH distressing tool.  I added some punched flowers, a doilly,  ribbon, bow, buttons, muslim, star dust stickles and some flat backed pearls - bit of embellishment heaven going on today!!!!! Crafting Time DT

This week's theme is a sketch ... I have adapted a wee bit to make it a little more card friendly.  I have also used my latest crafting addiction on it - mega gliding flakes and FlitterGlu - you can get a starter kit here.

I used this Christmas IndiogBlu stamp Merry Christmas Deer, and FlitterGlu to 'ink' up the stamp before stamping it onto the black cardstock.  I then rubbed over the inked image with mega gliding flake in Winter Dawn, and rubbed them off using my fingers and then a scrubby thing aka scoochy foam!  I matted the image and Bo Bunny papers up onto red and black cardstock.

And here is a closer look at those gorgeous, sparkly deer.

Let it snow

I am having a bit of a lazy morning, watching Saturday Kitchen, but I thought I would share with you a Christmas card I  made yesterday. Sorry about the picture quality - I used my ipad and a photo editting package that is refusing to let me save it in high quality.  I'd have used my camera but the children have 'lost' it!!
I used my spell binders snowflake dies, red and white card stock, a bit of stitching, a gem and a Craftwork cards sentiment. Really quick and easy - need to try it in blue now!! And thanks to Erika for the inspiration - I love her spellbinder creations.

Challenges

Inky fingers ...

I am in a tag making mood - beats Christmas cards LOL!!  Got a couple of DT projects using tags on the go, but thought I would make one just for the fun of it, and having been quite girly recently, I have gone for masculine and grungy!  I coloured the tag using pumice distress ink, and layered it up on the corners.  I also coloured some scrap card with the ink, adding a bit of broken china.  Having dired the tag (cos I'm impatient!) I places my TH compass mask over the corner and misted with glimmer mists - did both corners. (Note to self, put the mask away before drying the tag with your heat gun, or you might melt the mask that you left abandoned on your craft sheet!!!!)  Once the tag was dry I stamped over it using TH stamps and IndigoBlu stamps.  I added TH tissue tape, before adding theIndigoBlu train stamp that I had stamped onto that scrap of cardstock.  I used the left over bit to make the banner and stamped over it with the IndigoBlu compass stamp. The banner and image were attached using my mini stapler and I stuck some watch parts to the image.Oh and everything is distressed of course using my trusty, but getting blunt!, TH distressing tool.  Now I just need to wash my hands!!

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp and Show - tape it
Do You Stack Up - flags
DutchDare - snips and snails
Fabulous Friday - traingles

The heart has been cut out of grungeboard, painted with red acrylic paint and covered with rock candy crackle paint.  I embossed the white cardstock and added red and kraft coloured ribbon before popping the Spellbinders Doilly on on 3d pads.  I wrapped some twine round the heart, added a Heartflet Creation butterfly, embossed with a script folder, and a button with twine tidied through it.  Finally I added the Craftwork sentiment.

Desk takeover!!!

Its Wednesday and time to show off your craft mess ... sorry I meant space over at Julia's amazing blog - yep its Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday ...

Well I have had a bit of a desk take over ...
This Ellie, my older daughter Ellie's BFF!!!  The girlswere making charms for their school bags - so all my fab charms have been used!!
And here is my Ellie using plyers to help open and attach the rings.
The concentration was amazing!  Kept them quiet for nearly an hour!
And here are the chamrs finished - Ellie took the photo to take to Beavers for their creativity badge.

So I spent the evening tidying up the charms, jump rings from all over the place and rounding up all the little silver bells that Ellie split over the floor!!  Today I am going to have a crafty couple of hours to catch up with missing out last night!
