That Craft Place Challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is Anything Goes.
I have made a wall hanging using this gorgeous bird mask from Lisa's own Ditzie's Designs.  I started by gessoing the mask over the heavy cardstock.  After it had dried I used dylusion sprays to create the background.  I wiped the sprays off the gesso, and then spritzed with glimmer mist.  Once it was all dry I stamped the stamps, again from Lisa's own Ditzie's Designs range.  I repeated the technique for the background, but used a baby wipe to remove some of the spray colour to created a more watercolour effect.  I stapled hessian ribbon onto the the back of the bird cardstock and sttacjed it to the background.

You can find all these products and much more, either at Lisa's website - That Craft Place, or on the facebook group.

Visible image DT card

Today I am showing you a card I have made using stamps from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I haven't coloured this fab girlie, Molly up in ages - so I thought she should come out to play!!  Having coloured her with my pens, I created the strippy background using faded jeans distress ink and the zebra background. I love how distress ink sits on the stamp in globules so you get a more distressed/vintage look when you stamp.  I used the offcuts for the layered flower.

Visible image are currently having a design team call - so if you love these amazing stamps why don't you give it a go - all the deets are on their blog ---> HERE.

Its time for another Crafty Sentiments challenge, and the theme this week is Christmas.

How adorable are Jenny and Benson, wrapping their presents?  I coloured them with my copics before matting them onto these fab Christmas papers.  I wanted to keep it simple so the focus was on the image, so I just added some gingham ribbon and a bow.

Visible Image DT post

Today I am showing you hanging I have made using stamps from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I started by using a mix of dylusions sprays, glimmer ,ists and distress ins to create the background.  Having let it all dry I stamped these stamps over the background using versafine ink and distress inks- Ripped fishnet, bronte border, retro dots background, and the Imagine, Dream and Inspire sentiment.  I then stamped Classic face and inked her in distress inks, and added 2 butterflies that I cut out and inked up.

I might play around with it a wee bit more before I hang it - might!!

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Christmas.

That Craft Place Challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is Christmas.

I used this beautiful Ditzies Designs Nativity stencil, and inked it using Chipped Sapphire distress ink.  I used the Ditzies Design star stencil to create the background, simply using the Ranger embossing dabber over the stencil and then sprinkling embossing powder over and heating.  I had to repeat the process a couple of times to get the card covered.  Finally I stamped up the Visible image sentiment in chipped sapphire distress ink.

You can find all these products and much more, either at Lisa's website - That Craft Place, or on the facebook group.

Visible image DT card

Today I am showing you a Christmas card I have made using stamps from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
I love a contemporary colourway to Christmas cards, and broken china and seedless perserve are my current favourite inks.  I stamped up and took a little ink off the Gaudete background to create a more vintagey effect,  before adding an embossed snowflake panel and some ribbon.  I stamped a snowflake from the Enchanted Snowflakes set in broken china and added a pearl to its centre.  Finally I stamped the Vintage Merry Christmas in broken china and added it.  You can buy the Gaudete background, Vintage Merry Christmas and the Season's Greeting sentiment as a set as well as separately.

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Christmas - so a perfect excuse to get some last minute Christmas cards made.  You do need to use a Visible image stamp on your creation to be eligible for the £30 voucher prize.

That Craft Place Challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is use a sentiment.

I painted some grungeboard using cranberry acrylic paint and let it dry.  Once it was dry I painted it and the jumbo peg using gold acrylic paint.  When the paint dried I embossed the grungeboard and then sanded it back to reveal some of the red underneath.  I stamped the Art is from the heart sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out.  I stamped the heart patterns directly on to the peg using festive berries distress inks, and stamped one heart onto cardstock.  Having cut it out I added it to the grungeboard, putting a button heart at its centre.

Visible image November Challenge

Today its time for a new challenge over at the Visible image blog and November's theme is Sparkly, so we want to see lots of glitter and things that sparkle  I altered a large peg ....

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I painted the peg and a piece of grungeboard with gold acrylic paint and let it dry.  Once dry I stamped the grunge flourish round the edge of the grunge board. I then painted Tattered Angels glitter glam in Chandiler over the peg and grunge board.  Once it was dry I stamped the Create with your soul  sentiment into the space on the grunge board, and restamped it slightly off to create a weak shadow.  I then used stickles to trace over the floursih detail for extra sparkle.  I stamped the damask accent from the Immortal Love set  onto the peg and added small gems to the centre of each accent.
