Desperately seeking ...

my mojo ... it has gone walkabout and taken with it any desire to craft :(.  I have had to force myself to stay in my craft room until I finished a card today ... not at all like me!

I used Lambing pip and coloured her in using my promarkers.  I love this fresh colour combination, very spring like!  I used Basic grey Piccadily dp, a doilly, some flowers make from the Marianne Creatible chinese rose die, and some ribbon.  The leaves for the roses are made from a hydrangea flower cut up, and I added some cute lambs tail flowers and a green pin to finish it off.  Finally 3 flat backed pearls on the image.

A card!!

My craft room got a bit of a shock ... I did some crafting this morning for the first time in 2 weeks!!!  I got the dreaded Ofsted phone call, so have been waiting for them to arrive ... it is now all over for another 3 years and life can get back to normal!!  I have some gorgeous Sugar Nellies from the Ribbonita release to get inked up and some DT work to catch up on ... but I have broken myself in gently!!
I used krfat coredinations and kraft cardstock, and stamped the Tim holtz text stamp onto the kraft.  The butterflies are a TH movers and shapers die and I cut them out of the coredinations cardstock before matting the kraft on top.  Some flat back pearls for the bodies, and that was it really.

We have  busy day planned ... but I am making time to craft later :)

Challenges:

Secret Craft Saturday Challenge - no image, just text
Crafts and Me - things with wings
ABC challenge - k is for kraft

The Sugar Bowl #79

Opps ... totally messed my weeks up and forgot to post my Sugar Bowl card this morning.  But I have had a lot on my plate with an Ofsted inspection this week - that's my excuse! I haven't made a crd, or been in my craft room for over  week.  I am hoping to get back in there this weekend, after I finish putting all the paperwork away I needsed to get out!

Its a fab sketch by Erika, with an optional theme of spring.

I used this gorgeous Maggie (now discontinued :() and coloured her using my promarkers.  The image was cut out using my nesties andthe dp is Nitwits.  I went from fresh green and blue, quite spring like!  I added a sentiment, a layered flower and some card candi.

I have a real soft spot for Maggie and Hamish, and whilst I confess to not owning all of them, I do think they are the cutest little pair. I have made this card for my Mum from the girls .. they will no doubt do their own too ... but they like to send on from me.  Living in the lake district wellies, puddles and umbrellas are a bit of a necessity!!!  And it always makes me think of the song from Bambi - "drip drip drip little April showers"!

One lucky winner of this challenge will have their choice of 4 stamps (or 6 stamps, if we reach 100+ entries) either from the new release or any stamps from the Sugar Nellie range at

I don't usually link my Sugar Bowl cards to challegnes .. .but since I haven't made a card in over a week I thought i would be a little cheeky and link it this time ... sorry Sugar mama xx

WOYWW and a bit of help please

Its time for the weekly persuing of the craft desk courtesy of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, led by the amazing Julia. Here's my desk Tuesday night ...nothing has changed!, apart from me having had some sleep ... not enough but some!!

I thought I would give you the view as I see it sitting in my desk ... 3 books to do something with, a sample that went wrong, a part coloured in image, all my inks, mists and bits and bobs as Ellie calls them!!!

And just to the left of my cutter is ...

this ...!!!!
All his stuff!! it was only supposed to take up a quarter of the desk and 1 shelf in the cupboard ... it grows daily and if not held in check often seeps over onto my space.  I often find boxes and books left on my messy mat in the morning ... should try not cleaning it, may be that would teach him!!  My pens sit on his chair when he's not around, I find them easily to reach from my chair!!

Now a bit of help please ... I bought these stacking papier mache books in a fit of madness .. .and have NO idea what to do with them ... paint/stain, well  what really!
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Have a fab Wednesday ... I am off to do the school run, Mum's and Tots, preschool run and then lunch, before a bit of quiet time!!

One for a girl .. one for a boy!

I am having trouble sleeping ... so when I am wide awake at 5am ... yep ... I am crafting!!!

I stamped Jelly Pip from Sugar Nellie onto kraft cardstock and coloured her in using prisma pencils. I paper peiced her waistcoat top using some of the dp which is SU and I LOVE it ... shame it is runnig out :(  I kept the card reasonably embellishment free ... just some cream satin ribbon and a doilly heart that I distressed with antique linen distress ink to make it look cream.

Challenges:
Craft Your days away - paper piecing
Craft your passion - paper peicing
Stamp with fun - sketch
CES challenge - blues and cream
One Stop Craft challenge - colour on kraft

And one for the boys ...
I coloured this Kenny K image up a couple of weeks ago ... and lost it!!!  So having found it I got a card together this morning.  The dp is Stell Rose and I added a TH weather clock die cut from grungepaper and painted with black soot distress stain, a gear left unstained and a journalling ticket that I tore and layered using an ideology paper clip.

Challenges -
Cupcake Craft - boys and their toys
Tuesday throwdown - paper tearing
Creative Craft - boys will be boys
Stamp+fun=creativity - non cute
Simon Says Stamp and Show - An idea-ology bonanza
