Lolitta

I have been having a bit of a play with my promarkers, trying to create more of a distressed ink look, but in half the time it takes to colour using my distress inks!!
I used Lolitta from Sugar Nellie and coloured her using my promarkers and flexmarkers..  The dp is a mix from NitWits, and I added some flowers from my stash, some ribbon,a bow and a charm, which I stuck down using glossy accents, hiding the finding under the ribbon.  I angled the imag and sentiment so it all fitted - the image is a bit on the tall side!!

Rosie

I have had a little play with my very neglected copics tonight while the girls' tidied their bedroom - it took them a VERY long time to tidy their bedroom!!  I cannot believe how messy girls can be!!

I used this little cutie, Rosie, from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my copics, before adding glamour dust to her wings, dress and flower.  The dp is my latest favourite ... Basic Grey Pumeria - its is LUSH!!!  I added some organza ribbon, a bow and charm flower, and some rolled flowers, made using my Marianne Creatible rose die.  Finally I added the sentiment.

Alcohol inks and metallic promarkers galore!

I love playing around and messing, and I am trying to combine more of my inks with each other - so I had a play with alcohol inks and metallic promarkers (I confess to loving my metallic markers!) whilst making up my samples for Crafting Time.

I needed to make a box to put a friend's birthday present in, but confess to be rubbish at making boxes so I used a naked secret book I had waiting to be altered. Crafting Time have a fab range of binderie, naked and altered art products.  I used my alcohol inks - eggplant, stonewashed and silver.  I used my blending tool, and worked up the colour and mottling over 4 layers of ink.  With patience you can get the ink into all the nooks and crannies!!  For the inside I laid down a vase using my amythest promarker and then used my metallic promarkers and airbrush to build up the mottling, as the blending tool was too big to fit inside easily!
Finally I made the rolled flower using the Spellbinders bitty blossoms die, securing the base with glossy accents, before layering it up onto paper flowers. Finally I added a pearl to the centre of the flower.

The earrings and drop pendant were made by my cousin, who did glass blowing as part of her Art Degree.

And for something else - very different for me ...!!!

I bought this  mask ages ago to do for a party, and have never got round to doing it!! I used my alcohol inks - eggplant, stonewashed and silver.  I used my blending tool, and worked up the colour and mottling up the colour using different combinations of the inks on my blending tool.  I used  the fancy swirl stamp from IndigoBlu's Wild Meadow stamp set, and stamped it over the mask using silver, blue and purple metallic promarkers. Finally I added some little pearls for decoration.
The side ...
 And the other side ...
And Ellie wearing it - but only for the photo - its MINE!!!

Simon Says Stamp - anything but  card
Simon Says Stamp n Show - depth of distress

And now for today's challenge:
Bling it On!
Add Bling (rhinestones, pearls, Jewels and etc.) for your creation!

I used this gorgeous image, Goldfinch collage, and printed it off onto watercolour paper.  Its coloured using my distress markers (fired brick, crushed olive, weathered wood), and I distressed the background using distress inks (aged maghogany, crushed olive, vintage photo and walnut stain), before misting it all with some water to create a mottled effect.  A little tip for you if you want to watercolour digis - if you are finding you ink is running, sliuce the image under running water first, and let it dry.  This way any excess ink will be removed and the image should be fixed.  I used papers from Basic Grey's Pyrus pack and added some chocolate coloured ribbon and pearls.

Now, here is the blog hop list for to see June Digi Release creations...

Here is my card - I do love White on white!!  Shame the exposure setting has broke on my camera so it looks more bluey lilac than white!

I used one of the butterflies from the Everyday Miracles digi set and coloured it in using my promarkers and flexmarkers, before cutting it out.  I embossed the white cardstock using a couple of embossing folders, added some white ribbon and a bow, and popped the butterfly on.  The sentiment is from the Many Thanks digi set, and I split it up.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Its Friday at last, and the last day of the school holidays!!  I am so looking forward to getting back to a 'normal' routine next week and having time to craft!  Having had 9 children through the house on a daily basis for the last 2 weeks has sapped all my creative mojo!!!

The theme for this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is 'raining cats and dogs' - so a cat or dog must feature on your card.  Here is my card - my camera has broke - even fiddling with the photos in Picassa can't get them to look good!!  Time for a new camera methinks!

I used this cute stamp from LOTV, and coloured it using my promarkers and flexmarkers.  The dp is from Cuddly Buddly, which has been distressed, and I added some card candi to finish.

This is the card the girls are going to give their Daddy for Father's Day -  they have been away at my parents so not much chance to make a gorgeous creation of their own - although there might be time tomorrow!!!  Its really fitting as we are going to play Pirates on Sunday!
