The first card is for the WOJ challenge and is a sketch by Katharaina.
I watercoloured Melinda and distressed the edges. I distressed the edges of the cardstock and only used two patterns from the pad. I was going to embellishments but they looked too fussy, and I love the simplicity of this card .The second card is for the Sugar Bowl challenge. Again it is a sketch, this time by Marlene, and you need to use buttons.
I watercoloured and distressed the image, and as before have only used a couple of patterned papers. I added clear buttons with lilac ribbon through them and a sentiment. I tried to add the flower from the sketch but it just didn't look right ... so another very simple card.
We are up early here as the electricity goes off at 8am until 4pm today ... eek no hot drinks, no pooter ... and worse of all for Beth no telly when it's snack time!!!
I will catch up with you later on.
Recipe:
Stamp(s): WOJ Melinda blowing kisses; Sugar Nellie Gorguss girl and Teddy
Colouring Media: Distress inks
Papers: DCWV Pocketfull of Posies
Embellishments: buttons and ribbons from stash
The image is watercoloured and I have distressed the backgound. I have used a mix of pink cardstock and DCWV Nursery stack. The ribbon is from my stash and I doodled the stitching and the sentiment.
I watercoloured the image a couple of times and distressed the edges with distress ink. My waterbrush is misbehaving at the moment so the hedgie looks a bit blotchy! I cut and decoupaged the hedgehog and 3 of the daisies. As Ellie was hanging around I let her glitter the daisies which is why they are GLITTERED! I matted the image and papers onto orange cardstock and added the sentiment.
This has to be my current favourite image from the Stamp Kit - she is just gorgeous. I watercoloured her and resisted the urge to distress the background! I added some ribbon and ric-rac detail to a couple of the corners and ric-rac acrooss the middle. The sentiment is set off to an angle as it didn't look right straight, with the ribbon corners.
I watercoloured the image and distressed it. I went to town with the distressing, and ripped and sanded everything!! I embossed the background cardstock using my Swiss dots folder and sanded it. The image and red card stock are cut out using my nesties, and the cardstock sanded. I delibrately matted everything at an angle to add to the grungey feel. I set eyelets to hold the image and star. Just need to find a grungey teenager now!!

I made the corners on the image using a yellow ink pad. I have chosen fresh spring colours as it will probably be an Easter card. I added the doodling as that is this week's Spoonfull of Sugar challenge. No flowers are embellies as not sure who it going to be for and I didn't want to detract from that lovely green dp.
Hopefully this is the last time I have to colouring in this fab Sugar Nellie Father Christmas for another year! I tore the paper and inked the edges of it. The papers are DCWV (last year!), and again I inked the edges. I added ric rac and Prima flowers. I have a real problem matching some of my red ribbons to the flowers I have - does that mean I need to go on a flower shopping spree?!! I haven't added the sentiment as the printer is out of ink so hopefully one will appear before it goes in the post!
I used Snowy and added black, silver gel pen and some glitter glue to the image. I have used black cardstock, and DCWV gliiter stack ans adhestive papers. I ran a piece of silver cardstock through my Snowflakes embossing folder.
I have kept it simple as it is for one of Ellie's friends who is 4 tomorrow. I watercoloured Arthur and matted him onto blue cardstock, and papers from DCWV Glitter matt stack. $ blue brads finish it off.

I have used one of Sugar Nellie's gorgeous snowmen and watercoloured him using pencils. The papers are from a Scrap stack by DCWV and the cardstock is from my stash. I added red spotted ribbon and a button from my stash, red wire and leaves from Prima's Aqua Christmas bauble.
