Peek-a-boo

I have yet to get near my craft room today. Ellie went on a school trip to a local museum and I got 'volunteered' into going to help, so I have been looking at caterpillars and bugs this morning! However I did get in my craft room last night to make a card, but there is a bit of a story to it.

We are trying to separate Ellie from her beloved bunny comforter that she has had pretty much since she was born. Now having been loved continually for four and a half years she is in need of a rest. Auntie Jo-Jo has patched her in several places and I have bound the edges for her so she doesn't fray too much more. Ellie is resisting all strategies to let go of Bunny ... so I have come up with another strategy - a putting to bed party, with cake, cards, presents (bed, pillow, duvet for bunny!), and here is the card I have made.

The image is coloured in promarkers and cut of using nesties. I haven't used any dp as I intend the card ti eventually be the centrepiece of a scrap page. All the coredinations papers nave been embossed and distressed 9I just couldn't not LOL!!). I added punched and distressed flowers with gems at their centre and punched leaves, and brown and pink organza ribbon. It will have a sentiment that Ellie does ... it just needs to be tackled senstively!!

I have followed this week's Creative Card Crew sketch, used my fav colours of the mo, green and brown (pink is a bit of a necessity for a pink bunny LOL!) whch covers Our Creative Corner's challenge, and as I have used pink, brown and green it will qualify for the Stampavie challenge.

First Love

Another combined challenge for me. I have used the Sketch Saturday sketch, the recipe from Secret Crafter (1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments) and the Charisma Card challenge theme, love, to create this card.
This is one of my new acquisitions from the Glitterpot sale. Rather than do the traditional pink/red colour theme, I chose these lovely blue and purple papers, and I think they go so well with these Rachelle Anne Miller stamps. And I managed to get the scallops right this week!

Dutchdare Challenge 32

My heart sank when I read what this week's challenge was going to be ... mosiac. However I decided to use a technique called serendipity and make a tiled background.

I used scraps from my overflowing scrap box to do a sheet of serendipity (collage to some of use - you stick little bits of paper on a larger sheet so they overlap) and cut out 16 squares using my nesties (lazy!!). I coloured in this gorgeous iclke mouse by Rachelle Anne Miller and matted it onto brown cardstock. I mounted the tiles onto brown cardstock, added the image and some gorgeous bo bunnny ribbon. Finally I added square brads to the image.

Do look at the other DT members interpreatations of Mosiac.

Shapely preschooler!

Its a combined challenge again for me!! I combined PTW's challenge to use 3 shapes on your card, and the Spoonfull of sugar challenge, Baby or Preschooler. One of Ellie's best friend's at Preschol is 3 soon so I have made this card for her. Ellie chose the stamp (one of my new ones as they were in the Glitterpot's sale!) and the papers. I did the rest.

The shapes are square (patterned flower paper), rectangle (spotty paper), and diamonds (in the corners).

I have also been given a couple of awards ...

Thank you Benedicte

Thank you Madge and Heather.

Thank you so much ladies and i will have a think about who to pass them on to.

Christmas Sparkle

This week's Papertake Weekly Challenge is to add sparkle, and the Lili of the Valley challenge is to make a christmas card. I have made a couple of Christmas cards that fit the bill.
I adore these PB mice and have done something I haven't done for ages ... decoupaged them! I stamped the image 3 times and then layered the mice, and then some of the berries and the mice's arms up. I added blue fringe to the mouse's scarf. The dp are Daisy D and the braid is from my stash. I added glitter glue to the berries and leaves, and gems to the corners of the card to add some sparkle.
I am also going to enter this into this week's PBSC challenge as its better than my previous effort!LOL!

This is Ellie's Christmas card. Another Rachelle Anne Millar Christmas sta,p. The dp are Dovecraft, Papermania embossed card and cardstock put through my cuttlebug. I used sparkly blue organza ribbon and glittered up a couple of prima flowers and bits of the image.

Dutch Dare Challenge

This is the first time I have done a Dutch Dare challenge, but it is a sketch, and I love sketches.
This is my interpretation of the sketch.

I love this little Rachelle Anne Millar mouse hugging her teddy. I coloured the image using aqua Promarkers and matted it onto Papermania's Retro Floral papers. I added some faux stitching, braid and a flower brad from my stash.
