The first Hobbycutz challenge and a blog hop

Hi and Welcome to the Launch of

The HOBBYCUTZ CHALLENGE BLOG...

I was so excited when Kobie picked me to be part of this fab, new and exciting challenge blog.

We will be running a bi-weekly challenge and we hope you will enjoy the creative projects we will showcase, and that we will inspire you all to come and take part in our challenges.

The Story:

Kobie is the Owner and Designer of Hobbycutz Lasercutting & Designs.

She  grew up in a Crafty family, with a very creative Gran, Mum and even Dad...he was always into woodworking....

Kobie acquired a laser cutter early December last year after having her second child, which made it nearly impossible for her to return to work because of expensive child care, so she had to look for something she can do from home.

It was the biggest learning curve of her life and she never really realised what she was getting myself into until the machine arrived.

But anyway not going to bore you with the rest,Kobie is heree and we will have to see what the future holds.....

So to celebrate the launch of this new adventure we are having a blog hop and you have 2 weeks to join in the fun and try and win some prizes.
So I hope you arrived here from Lorraine

If not please go back to the Hobbycutz challenge blog and start the Hop there as You need to collect a letter from each member.
The rules of the hop are as follow:

 1. Leave a comment on each of the DT posts as you hop, this is a must to qualify for the prize.

2. Collect the letters from the DT's blog and email Kobie at  hobbycutz(at sign)gmail.com with the word you spell
(ps the letters are mixed up and not everyone has one)

3. Leave a comment on the Challenge blog letting us know which design from the website you like best

 4. Display our badge in your side bar to spread the word.

The winner of the hop will receive a £15 Voucher to spend on the website and two runner ups will receive each a £5.00 voucher to spend on the website.

Not only can you do the hop and win a prize .. but we also have First Challenge running which is

 ANYTHING GOES

The prize for the overall challenge which will be picked by the Random thingy will be

a £10 Voucher to spend on my website, and there will also be a £5.00 Voucher in every challenge for a Random winner using a 'HOBBYCUTZ' product.

Thank You for taking time to visit my blog.
My Letter is ***  A ***,
so  please hop on now to .....

And now onto my creation for the Anything goes theme ...

I made a canvas for the girls' bedroonm door as we have just decorated it for them.  I got hubby (the technical one) to line up 4 photos of the girls and then printed them off, before sticking them behind the film strip. I painted the canvas with a coat of the blue emulsion that we have decorated the girls room in - their choice not mine!!  The I stamped their names on the heart plaque and the distressed round using worn lipstick distress inks.  I sprayed the butterflies and the scalloped heart border with tattered rose glimmer mist and then added pearls to the butterflies.  Finally I cut the flowers out of felt left over from the bunting I made for the room, and layered them up with pearl brads for the centres.

If you have got lost along the way, here is the order of the hop ...

Supplies
Embellishments: Film strip, swirly decorative border, heart, butterflies, felt flowers, pearls

Challenges:
Challenges:
Hotshot - anything but a card
Tim Hotlz - tattered flowers challenge
Come and get it - anything but a card

A great idea. I like the way that each canvas can be personalised for each childs bedroom.
