SCSC challenge week #39
This is for one of Ellie's Pre-school leaders as she moves to Primary school in September. Ellie has chose the papers and the image, which I coloured in using Promarkers. I kept the layout very simple as the papers are quite busy!! I added three ribbon tags to the image. Finally I stamped and matted a sentiment. Here's another card for the leaders (there's 6 of them!)

Tilda with flower
I have combined the Friday Sketcher sketch with the just Magnoli challenge, charms.
I watercoloured Tilda and distressed the edges in Antique Linen and Maghogany. I rotated the sketch - it just seemed to work better for me like this. The dp is my new MME pad - I LOVE it!!! I matted everything onto a couple of colours of cardstock. I punched some flowers and a swirl, added a bit of organza ribbon and it was done ... so back to the cleaning and cooking :(!Recipe:

Distressed Magnolia
Here's my card ...
And a close up of the corner ...
This is how I did it .
I used Antique Lineen and distress some cream, lightly hammered cardstock.
Then I put mt Glimmer Mist screen in the corner...
and went over the cardstock and screen with Tattered Rose ink.
So it now looks like this ...
Then I sprayed Old Lace glimmer mist over the cardstock and screen and let it dry.
I added my design paper and then using a larger screen inked part of it up, and made the decorate bottom right corner.
Here's a close up. As the screen is plastic the distress ink does have a tendency to dapple, but I think that makes it look distressed and cracked.
Then I added lace, my image and flowers.A 4 challenge card!!
I have managed to get some crafting done - it has been a bit of a challenge as the pens bled and the fan sent the papers flying everywhere. However I have managed to make a card for 4 challenges:
Colour Create - grassy green, apple green, lemon, sunflower yellow and white
Sugar Bowl - sketch and sparkle
Cute Card Thursday - stitching
Charisma Cardz - buttons
I coloured my image using promarkers and then masked her and spritzed the image with gold glimmer mist (thanks for the idea Kim!!). My glimmer mist was a bit blobby today - obviously not enjoying the heat!! I matted all the papers and fauxed stitched them using white gel pen. I punched three flowers and spritzed them with gold glimmer mist, then threaded gold thread through the buttons and added them to the centres. I finished the card off with a punched swirl and some flat backed green pearls.
Just need to find somewhere cool for the afternoon!!

DDCC challenge #55

I coloured my image in using my promarkers and then cut it out using my nesties. I distressed and inked the edges. I love this Wisteria pad and so used a couple of pieces. I struggled to find matching ribbon (stunned by this considered the yards I have!!) so just punched some flowers and added gems. Here is the sketch ...

WHiff of Joy Recipe
I watercoloured Willow and then distressed the background in antique linen, shabby windows and peeled paint. I have had these Basic Grey papers for a while but no got round to using them. I matched the brown cardstock and matted everything so the elements stood out. I added three prima flowers (not used these for ages and they were feeling neglected!!) and some organza ribbon.
I am going for much simpler layouts and less embellies at the mo ... and am liking the results.
Off to find a cool spot to collapse until my after school lot arrive to play.

Who's for Strawberries?
I coloured Wllow in using my promarkers and matted her onto coredinations cardstock. I have pinched an idea from my blogging buddy Ali - I stamped strawberries and coloured them in to make the dp as I hadn't got any dp that went with the colours. Fnally I added punched flowers and leaves and a strawberry charm.ABC challenge U is for ...
I went for a red/white/blue colour theme with a few stars!! Skateboarding is always something I think of in connection with the USA so I used SK8ter boy from Sugar Nellie and coloured him using promarkers. I inked the edges of the cardstock in red and blue ink, and cut some stars using my nesties. I added a few red brads to finish it.Do check out the DT blogs and have a go ... remember each DT has a RAK up for grabs and one lucky person will join the Design Team.

Turquoise and brown
I used my promarkers to colour in my image and then cut her, the mat and circle out using my nesties. I embossed the circle using my Swiss Dots folder, and embossed the dark turquoise cardstock using my flowers folder. I rotated the sketch and added ribbon, having punched slots in the cardstock to thread it through. I stamped my sentiment and added layered punched flowers and a swirl. The turquoise brads finish it off.

Again really simple and rather bright!!
