That Craft Place Challenge

The theme for this fortnight's That Craft Place challenge is make your own background ...

I am pants at backgrounds!!!!  But thanks to a lesson from my lovely friend Ali, I managed to have a go at this!!

I used this Paper Artsy stamp - Crowns and castles 4-  and coloured it in using copics.  I made a cloud mask and use broken china distress ink to create the sky.  The swirl grass from the same stamp set were stamped in mown lawn distress ink.  The dp is Bo Bunny Market Place, and I added some twine and buttons to finish it off.

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - for the guys
Southern Girls - spots and stripes

CRAFT challenge GDT

I was honoured to be asked to stay on as GDT for the month of September, and we have a fab challenge for you this week ...

and some great sponsors ...

Some Odd Girl

I used this cutie from Some Odd Girl, Kiss a Prince Tia, and coloured her with copics before cutting her out.  The castle stamp is from Paper Artsy and is called Crowns and Castles 4, and again coloured in copics, before being cut out.  The dp is Basic Grey Eva, and I used my Tim Hotlz Iron fence die to create the crenallated bit behind the castle.  It was distressed with a bit of walnut stain ink to age it a bit.  I popped the castle onto foam pads before adding it.  Tia is also on foam pads, popped onto  of the castle.  The sentiment is from Whimsy and I used their ticket die to cut it out.

And an arty view showing the dimension!!
