Christmas in August!!

I have struggled colouring this image in today - stamped her onto linen card and three times it all went splodgey, so didn't do much shading in the end!

I watercoloured the image and distressed the edges. I used these fab Daisy D papers ad matted them onto cardstock. I added organza ribbon and white lace, and flowers which I layered and spritzed with glimmer mist. I stamped a corner detail onto the dp and onto a corner of the image. No sentiment yet - I must get some small Christmas sentiment stamps.

Red white and blue

Both the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Our Creative Corner have got colour challenges .. red, white and blue. F|or my Penny Black stamps this was going to be a challenge, but I finally chose this gorgeous, cuddly bear.
I coloured the image in using my promarkers and matted it in blue and red. I embossed blue cardstock uding my Swis Dots folder and turned it over and matted it onto red cardstock. I embossed white cardstock using my hearts folder and matted it onto blue and red cardstock. I added red organza ribbon to finish it.
I have a card sale in a couple of weeks and this style of card sells well so I'll be making a few more!!

Cute bunny!

My baby is sick!!! Beth has spent the night throwing up, so I have made a card in between bed changes and washes! I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner, and this week's theme from Papertake Weekly, animals. A I have done in between bouts of cleaning up it is quite simple!

I watercoloured the image and used my nesties to cut it out. Rather than matting it, I just inked the edges. I used co-ordinating papers - I love the flower and swirl detail on the dp - and ribbon and ric rac for the sketch elements. Finally I added some pearls. I was going to add some flowers but it looked too fussy and detracted from that lovely swirl detail.

Peek-a-boo

I have yet to get near my craft room today. Ellie went on a school trip to a local museum and I got 'volunteered' into going to help, so I have been looking at caterpillars and bugs this morning! However I did get in my craft room last night to make a card, but there is a bit of a story to it.

We are trying to separate Ellie from her beloved bunny comforter that she has had pretty much since she was born. Now having been loved continually for four and a half years she is in need of a rest. Auntie Jo-Jo has patched her in several places and I have bound the edges for her so she doesn't fray too much more. Ellie is resisting all strategies to let go of Bunny ... so I have come up with another strategy - a putting to bed party, with cake, cards, presents (bed, pillow,duvet for bunny!), and here is the card I have made.

The image is coloured in promarkers and cut of using nesties. I haven't used any dp as I intend the card ti eventually be the centrepiece of a scrap page. All the coredinations papers nave been embossed and distressed 9I just couldn't not LOL!!). I added punched and distressed flowers with gems at their centre and punched leaves, and brown and pink organza ribbon. It will have a sentiment that Ellie does ... it just needs to be tackled senstively!!

I have followed this week's Creative Card Crew sketch, used my fav colours of the mo, green and brown (pink is a bit of a necessity for a pink bunny LOL!) whch covers Our Creative Corner's challenge, and as I have used pink, brown and green it will qualify for the Stampavie challenge.
