Crafty Sentiments Challenge

Its time for another Crafty Sentiments challenge, and the theme this week is Anything Goes.

I went for a Christmas card - really need to be getting some made!!  I love this image, Sammy and Me.  Having coloured it using my pens and contemporary colours, I matted it onto a selection of Bo Bunny papers.  I kept it all quite simple, just adding some ribbon and flat backed pearls.

That Craft Place challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is Indepence day or red, white and blue.  I went mad and made a couple of projects!!

Lisa sells the most amazing jumbo wooden pegs to alter.  I painte the peg with picket fence distress stain to add a whitewashed look, and then simply wrapped some spotty grosgrain ribbon round it.  I die cut large flowers out of navy blue paper and added my own crocheted flowers.   I tied a bow, added a wooden heart button and a flwer button with some embroidery thread tied through it.  Finally some more red button flowers.
Supplies:
 wooden peg
Embellishments: crochet flowers, buttons, ribbon

Challenges:
The Paper Shelter - lots of flowers

I used Beach Ball from Crafty Sentiments and coloured her in using my promarkers, before cutting her out and matting her onto a fancy oval. I love these papers from Fair Skies, very country in lots of ways.  I matted them onto navy cardstock, and added a doilly some lace and ribbon.  I crocheted some flowers and added buttins and a knot to them.  I die cut a banner and hanging heart and finally added som bling.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Its our last Totally papercrafts challenge for 2012 - we are having a wee break to enjoy Christmas, but will be back in the New Year with a bigger team and some fab challenges for you.
This week's theme is a sketch from Lisa ...

Having coloured the image in using my pens, I used my viva decor pen to add the snow, and added a bit of vintage photo DI to the edge of the image.  I stamped the sentiment up - and that was that - I didn't feel the need for embellishments, as it is such a fab sketch on its own.

I did another card using the same sketch - not as happy with the shading on this one, but i have had a stinking cold and chest infection so colouring hurts!!  I used this gorgeous Crafty Sentiments image and coloured her using my pens, before using a viva decor pen to create bubbles. I made holes and faux stitched round the dp - I was going to use my sewing machine but it decided to break on me!! I die cut some flowers, added some pearls and some ribbon.  Finally a sentiment.
