Visible Image DT post

Today I am showing you a tag I have made using from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I stamped up, coloured and cut out Max, before stamping the skulls from the Max Rocks set all over the tag.  I then masked them off and stamped the grungy border from the Jake Skates set round the edge.  Keeping the skulls masked I stamped the wall from the Max Rocks set over the tag (although I could have used the brick wall), and then stamped the stars from the Jake Skates set.  I stamped up the sentiment from the Max Rocks set and cut it out, before popping Max onto foam pads and adding him.

That Craft Place challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is ibbon and lace.

Something a little different from me again - I made a lace flower by simply stitching along the edge of lace and then gathering it into a circle and fadtening it off.  I used a section of the rose ribbon trim that lisa sells, cut it off and sprayed it with fired brick distress ink to stain it.  Having stitched it onto the lace I added a brooch pin to the back and then fastened it on a piace of flet so it can be easily removed to wear.  Finally some pearls.

Visible Image DT post

Today I am showing you something a little bit different usingstamps from the Time After Time set from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
I used the stamps to decorate a paper mache mask and wing ...
Having painted the mask using gold acrylic paint, I used the crackled and gears stamps from the Time After Time set to add detail to the mask.
I added charms attached to key chains and lots of frantage ...

Stamping onto uneven surfaces is quite easy if you are using unmounted stamps, and the great thing about these Visible Image stamps is not only are they made of polymer, but they are also clear so you can see exactly what you are doing.  As they are quite thick etched stamps they easily stamp up when bent and plied with so you can really play around with them. They also have the advantage of being quite tacky so they stick well to your fingers!!

I inked up the stamp with it on my fingers ...
Then simply placed it where I wanted it to be and rolled it across and eased the stamp round the curves on the mask.
I repeated this all over the mask - and applied different amonts of pressure so I got partial stamping, and sometimes stamped again before adding more ink so I had a shadow or ghost effect.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge

Its time for another Crafty Sentiments challenge, and the theme this week is red, white and blue.

Annabel Sail with me seemed a perfect choice as red, white and blue are very nautical colours.  I coloured her using my pens and then simply matted her up onto navy and red cardstock.  I doodled round some white cardstock, and added some wide red ribbon and navy flat backed pearls.

Visible image Monthly Challenge - Inspired by a song

Its a new month and so a new challenge over the at  Visible Image blog.  The theme this month is Inspired by a Song - remember you don't have to use a Visible image stamp, but you must use some form of rubber stamp, no digis please.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I chose Wherever I Lay My Hat by Paul Young.

I struggled and struggled to get a clear photo but the acetate just would not behave!!!!  I used the House of Zandra  Alter me top hat   and cut it out using black cardstock.  Inside the box I stamped the wings from the Time after Time set using versamark and then embossed them using gold frantage.  I stamped the large pocket watch from the Time after Time set and frantaged it before cutting it out.  The cameo was pink to start with, and I simply poured gold alcohol ink over it and rubbed it into the cranies.  I also alcohol inked the angel so he looked aged.  I sprinkled frantage around the box and melted it before adding the cameo over than angel wings and the key.   I coloured Edgar in using my copics and cut him out.  I assembled the hat, putting acetate over the window and then added the webbing and ribbon, before popping Edgar on.  I die cut and frantaged the gears and cogs and added them, some flowers and a hat pin.  I fastened a key fob through one of the cogs and added an old penny and the little watch charm to it before added the cog and flowers.

Visible image DT post - Create and Craft Samples

Today I am showing you a couple of sample I made using the Create and Craft sets from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
This one uses the Molly Rules set ...
You get 6 stamps in the set - Molly, the sentiment, barbed wire, splat, heart and skull.  She sold out on Create and Craft before the end of the show, but hopefully Visible image will be making more of this amzing set.  Molly is coloured in using my copics and I distressed the background before stamping splats round it.  I stamped the barbed wire onto the MME dp and then stamped the skull and hearts and cut them out.  Finally I added the sentiment.

And this is Katie Kisses ...
I stamped Katie out and coloured her in using my copics.  I added some liquid pearls and stickles to the butterflies.  I stamped the flower border round 2 sides of the cardstock and again coloured them in using my pens.  Having stamped the sentiment I added some teeny pearls to it, and to the centres of some of the flowers.  Finally i tied the ribbon and bow and added 2 flowers from the flower border to the corners of the image.

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme isVisible image has character - you have just a few more days to get your entry in.
