Visible Image DT post

Today I am showing you a tag I have made using from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I stamped up, coloured and cut out Max, before stamping the skulls from the Max Rocks set all over the tag.  I then masked them off and stamped the grungy border from the Jake Skates set round the edge.  Keeping the skulls masked I stamped the wall from the Max Rocks set over the tag (although I could have used the brick wall), and then stamped the stars from the Jake Skates set.  I stamped up the sentiment from the Max Rocks set and cut it out, before popping Max onto foam pads and adding him.

Visible image DT post

Today I am showing you a tag I have created using a selection of stamps from  Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I used distress inks to create the background on my tag, and when they were dry I spritzed some glimmer mist over to give a bit of sparkle.  While the tag was drying I stamped up the Corset and coloured it in using my pens, before cutting it out.  Then I used stamps from the Sewing room set and stamped them in versafine ink directly onto the tag.  I added the Corset, but curved it slightly and attached it using silicon glue so it stands proud of the tag.  Finally I stamped the tape measure stamp onto some seam binding and tied it through the top of the tag.

Visible Image DT - Immortal Love

Today I am showing you a card and tag I made using the Immortal Love set from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

First the card ...
I was listening to Where the Wild Roses Grow by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and this card kind of popped into my head!! I stamped the large rose once and the smaller rose twice from the Immortal Love onto  kraft core coredinations and heat sert before cutting out.  I stamped the Music background onto cardstock and cut out 6 squares using my nesties.  I cut another 3 squares from the same cards stock and then stamped the barbed wire from the Immortal Love set onto them.  I distressed all the edges.  I diecut the banner and stamped the love sentiment from the Immortal Love set onto it before adding some gems.  Finally I layered up the roses.

Supplies:
Colouring medium:
Papers:
Embellishments:
Tools: Dienamics fishtail stax

Challenges:

The Paper Shelter - music maestro
Crafty Catz - inspired by a song
Just add ink - sketch
Crafts and Me Floral Frenzy
Forever friends monthly challenge - anything goes

I stamped the large rose from the Immortal Love set out and colorured it using my pens.  Using black soot distress ink I stamped the border using the Grunge flourish stamp and the barbed wire and love sentiment from the Immortal Love set and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I then covered the tag wit fired brick distress in k and covered that with clear embossing powder and heated - this gives it the rusty texture.  I went over the tag using vintage photo distress ink in order to age it, before popping the rose onto  3d foam pads and adding some stained seam binding.

Visible Image April Challenge

Its time for April's challenge over at the Visible Image blog.  The theme this month is a really easy one - Get Stamping!  We are also introducing a simple rule - you MUST use rubber stamping - no digi stamps allowed.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
I made a tag ...
I coloured the large rose from the Roses set in using my copics, and then cut it out and distressed the edges in vintage photo distres ink. I used spun sugar, tea dye and walnut stain distress inks, and tattered roe and gold glimmer mists to distress the tag, before crating the collage effect using the bronte border, butterfly and gothic corner stamps.  I added some lace, pearls and seam binding and then popped the ose onto 3d pads.

One lucky winner will get a £10.00 voucher to spend on Visible image stamps - how fab is that?!

That Craft Place Challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is animals ...

I went for butterflies!!!  I do like my butterflies, and I wanted to create something pretty, fresh and spring like.  I covered the tag with the papers and then stamped the butterfly stamp over the tag.  To make the ink paler I stamped it onto my craft mat first and then on to the tag.  I created the layered flower using the Joy flower die, and pinched the petals in to give it dimension.  I die cut the butterflies and leaves, added the punched border and some seam binding.

Visible Image March Challenge - DT

Its my first challenge as part of the Visible Image DT.   I am really excited to be part of this fabulous DT and the stamps are absolutely gorgeous, a bit of something for everyone and all styles.
Anyways, we have a monthly challenge, which you can find over on the Visible Image blog.  The theme for March is Spring.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
I made a tag ...
I cut my tag out using my TH die, and the distressed it using the spring and summer limited edition inks.  I simply swiped them onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and then dragged my tag through.  I dried the tag and repeated to get a real depth of colour.  I flicked water across it and dried it.  While the ink was on the mat I squidged some seam binding through it and left it to dry.  I stamped the retro dots background in pereserved persimmon distress ink and tumbled glass distress ink, and the crackled background in picked raspberry.  I stamped and masked the large butterfly and butterfly onto the tag using versafine ink, and then stamped them in picked raspberry and peacock feathers distress inks and cut them out.  I layered the cut out butterflies over two of the stamped butterflies and added pearls to their centres.   Finally I stamped the butterfly sentiment on to the tag and added a butterfly charm to the seam binding.

Visible Images - Max

I have some really exciting news - I am now part of Visible Image Stamps design team :)  Mark designs
some fantastic clear polymer stamps, including backgrounds, and they stamp up really crisp images.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

 So here is Max ...

I thought I would make a tag for a change, and a boy/grungy one!  I coloured Max in using my pens and then cut him out.  I stamped the metal plate background over the whole tag - as the stamp is clear acrylic it is easy to line up to get a repeating pattern.  The tag was distressed and inked round with black soot distress ink.  I die cut the clock and fence using grunge paper, and then coloured them using black soot and silver alchol ink.  The metal tag was embossed and covered with the same alcohol ink, and gently sanded.  I added some stickers to it and dabbed black soot distress ink over it.  Finally the seam binding was distressed with black soot and the tag tied through it.

Spell

The theme for this week's Totally papercrafts Challenge is Halloween ...
I used this fab Kenny K image, and coloured her using my pens, adding some soft lime to her skin to spook her up a bit.  I followed Tim Holtz's basic ideas for his October tag, but created my own tissue paper using white tissue paper and a Kaisercraft stamp.I used distress inks and popiscle glimmer mist to create the background.  I used grungeboard letters, and added black alcohol ink to silver embossing powder.  Having inked the letters in black soot distress ink i added versamark ink and then the embossing powder - it created a really molten look to the letters.  I added a TH ticket stamp, ribbon webbing, stained seam binding and the witches hat charm.

Father Christmas tag

I thought I would blog the tag I made on Tuesday night.   I mised the tag with a bit of water and then swiped it through barn door and peeled paint distress stains.  Having dried it I swiped the tag through the stains again and then spritzed it with gold glimmer mist - the pic doesn't really show the sparkle and sheen on the tag.  The seam binding got the same treatment.  I stamped round the edges using a pine cone stamp from a TH Christmas set, and then stamped the TH collage stamp and sentiment.  Finally I made up the holly branch and pine cones using kraft coredinations cardstock, and sanding it up a bit.  I added some stickles to the branch, berries and cones.

Here's a pic of the tag before I decorated it - sparkly!!

I went for a tag, creating one using my TH tag die.  I liberally misted it with tattered rose glimmer mist and distressed it using my TH tool and vintage photo distress ink.  Then I stamped a Hero Art script stamp over it in versamark, before embossing it with aged ivory embossing powder.  The cute fairy is Knitted with love from Sugar Nellie, and she is coloured with promarkers.  I glamour dusted her wings, pompoms and hat trim before cutting her out.  The dp is Prima Botanical and I added TH adage tickets, and a layered flower created using my TH tattered floral die.  Both the flower and tags have been distressed with vintage photo and tattered rose glimmer mist.  Some lace and pearls finish it of.  The ribbon has also been glimmer misted - not that you can really see it LOL!!

A Tag

I've been playing with my new spring colours distress inks and they are LUSH!!!!  As if I need an excuse to get inky with inks, tags and glassene paper ..
I used peacock feathers, shaded lilac and dusty concorde to create the background on the tag, and then flicked water over it to created the puddled effect. Having dried the tasg I distressed the edges with my TH paper distresser.  I used glassene paper and alcohol inks to create the shimmery butterflies and cut them out using my TH butterfly die.  I stamped the TH sentimet onto the tag (I just love this quote, got to be my fave quote EVER!!), and added pearls, some lace and a charm (that's gone a bit upside down!!)
