Sketch and Stash #44

Its time for another Sketch and Stash challenge, and we are joined by three new fabby DT members, Sonia, Nicola and Jackie.
Simon Says Stamp are sponsoring us and one lucky winner will get a $20 voucher to spend in their store!!
Here's the sketch ...
And my take on it ...

I was really lucky and won a couple of the new Wags n Whiskers' fairies .. this one is Angelica. IU coloured her with my pens and then stickled and glamour dusted her wings. The ickle stars are stickled, and I ran a deliberately wobbly line of stickles round the edge. I added some copper coloured ribbon and some buttons.

I am entering this card into these challenges
Wags n Whiskers challenge - Autumn colours
Paperplay challenge - Autumn is a comin'
Simon Says Stamp - holiday card ... I am using this as a Harvest card for my Gran (my equivalent to Thanksgiving)
Allsorts Challenge - Autumn Colours

Just Cute bears Challenge #34

This week's challenge is a photo inspiration for you
You can interpret it how you like, use the colours, shapes etc ... let your imagination go wild!

I used this cute download I got (but can't remember where!) and coloured it using my pens, matching colours to the photo. I love these papers and thought the circles were similar to those in the picture. Finally a layered flower and some spotty ribbon.

The DT have come up with some fabulous creations this week ... and the challenge is not one of the easiest we have set!

DutchDare Card Challenge

Opps ... I forgot it was Thursday!!

This week's Dutchdare Challenge is to make a book mark with a school theme.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique and they so generously donated some wonderful back to school images for our DT to create with.
I coloured my image using my pens and then matted it onto blak cardstock. The dp is Basic Grey Urban Priarie, and the ribbon is from Bo Bunny.

The bookmark sits on the corner of the page like this ...
And looks like this at the back.

Sorry for such a short post .. I am a poorly bunny and my eyes are stinnging and sore ... so no crafting or blogging today.

WOYWW

No card to share today ... my cold has streamed all day and my eyes are all gritty and sore ... so giving them a rest.

But this is what my desk looks like ... I have been doing a couple of DT projects for InStyle Stamps ... what this space next week and the week after ... there are some fabulous releases coming up.
Anyways, there's a basket of ribbon, my copic colour chart, and some images ready to colour for Dt work.

Oh and the 2 gorgeous Wags n Whiskers fairies I won on Magical Monday. I love all these fairies and will be adding the other 2 to my collection.
And the other half ... dave hasn't been modelling this week ... so I have my sewing kit on his bit and my pens on his chair!!!

A hmmmmmm card!

OK my mojo has been a little up and down at the mo, so sketch challenges are really helpful ... unless they have lots of lyers and I layer them up in the wrong order LOL!! Yep this week's Friday Sketcher has been a real challenge, and I think I have layered a couple of layers in the wrong orde, and I have just realised I left a panel off ... sorry! Will be doing another card for this challenge ...eeek!

Anyway I combined the sketch with the Just Magnolia challenge ... cracked glass. I love the cracked glass technique and really enjoyed doing it again ... although the paper was reluctant to crack as I used the thin card I use for my pens rather than my usual cardstock.
Tilda is coloured using my pens and then I follwed the cracked glass technique with her. I get the little bits of gold speckle I used gold embossing powder, and after heating the clear embossing powder, sprinkled a teeny teeny bit over, before using the versamark again. You do have to be really light handed otherwise it looks a mess and soesn't scrap off!! I haven't added any embellies ... I love this daisy D Christmas paper and just couldn't bring myself to cover it with flowers.

Its Beth's 4th birthday tomorrow so we are having a very busy weekend, not sure how much crafting I will get done ... the girls will be sleeping on my craft table LOL!!!!

A couple of cards

I can not believe how busy I am at the moment, and sneaking in the craft room is becoming a challenge!! Hopefully after everyone settles back into school and pre-school a healthy crafting life will return LOL!! I spent a lot of time last night doing DT work (I am soooo far behind with some of it :-S) but did manage to sneak a card and start another :)

The first card fits these challenges:
LOTV - sketch
Totally Gorguss - Xmas in August
Basic Grey Challenges - Fabric
Cute Card Thursday - material girl
Simon Says Stamp - pearls and lace
Papertake Weekly - just the 1
Charisma Cardz - Inspired by a song (we wish you a Merry Christmas!)

I stamped this cute LOTV image, Christmas Candle, onto white linen, and coloured using copics (promarkers bleed out more). I airbrushed some colour round the edges. The dp is Basic Grey Fruitcake (double sided so I am counting it as 1 paper!). I added lace, some prima flowers with pearls at the centre and the sentiment.

My second card is very different from the first LOL!!
It fits these challenges -
Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge - music
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Lets go digital
Trully Scrumptious - sketch and knot

I coloured Star inusing my pens and air brushed round the edges (LOVE my airbrush LOL!!). I followed the sketch using these fab Basic Grey Olivia papers, but left the sentiment off until I send it. I coloured a white flower black and layered it with a pink flower and a clear button with a ribbon threaded through and tied in a knot.

We are off out for the evening ... Dave is away so I am taking the girls up the road for a couple of hours - wear them out so they sleep and leave me alone later LOL!!!!

InStyle Stamps Sketch Challenge & WOYWW

its time for the monthly sketch challenge at InStyle Stamps. In addition to a sketch this month, we were challenged to also make a T-Slide card. And wow was it a challenge!

I have made a card for one of the children I mind as she starts Primary School on Monday. I have coloured the image in the school uniform colours so it looks like her.

I used Janice and coloured her using my pens, before cutting her out. I followed the sketch, using the bottom band as the part for my slider. I added cardcandy, punched flowers and gems to decorate.
As you pull the image slides back to reveal the sentiment Going to School, which I doodled myself. The sentiment comes from the song the older ones sing when they are leaving Pre-school to go to Primary school.

And here is the card with the image fully slid, if you see what I mean LOL!!
If you join in this challenge you could win TWO digi images from InStyle Stamps if you play along and use an InStyle Stamps image. If you don't use one of our images, you could win ONE digi image from us.

As it is Wednesday, it is time for Whats on your Workdesk wednesday ...

Well not alot really!!I have coloured the Kenny K image, and thats about it ... but do you notice the fab purple bag?

My lovely, wonderful, amazingly talented friend Jo made it folr me after a vague discussion about me wanting a sectioned bag to take my pens camping with me. Within three weeks I had this gorgeous creation delivered into my hot, very appreciative hands!

The top buttons to keep the pens in ...
and there are 9 sections for my pens ...
might just need a few more to fill the little gaps LOL!!!

ABC Challenge

This week our theme is

C is for Charms

We are very very lucky to be sponsored this week by Nikki and her shop BunnyZoe. She has offered the following prize,

I have a confession .. I made my card before I went away and didn't photograph it ... small child (remaining nameless at the mo!!) moved the card and has 'forgotten' where she put it ... so i was up at the crack of sparrow this morning getting one made .. .not the best, but not too bad for a rush job!!
I used the sketch from this week's Just Magnolia challenge, and the colour theme from Totally Tilda, Lilac and lace, to help me!! Rose Tilda is paper pieced using some Making Memories papers. I matted the dp onto mint green coredinations cardstock, and added some purple organza and white raffia. Finally a couple of little bows and charm ... no flowers as I wanted to keep it simple. I am not sure it is as clean and simple as it could be, but I am going to be cheeky and put it in this week's Totally Papercrafts Keep it clean and simple challenge!
