Visible Image Jake

I love having a play with my pens ans I have been doing lots of experimenting with patterns on clothes - leopard print and camoflague print.  Jake from Visible Image looks really cool in camo shorts!!  I coloured him in my pens and then cut him out.  I stamped the brick wall from Visible Image onto kraft cardstock and then cut it out using my nesties.  I love this grungey, bright paper from Simple Stories, and i simply matted it onto kraft and added the webbing, diecut stars and buttons.

Visible image DT post

Today I am showing you Edgar from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I love Edgar and is girlfriend Clara :) (You will have to pop back later in the week for my card using Clara). Edgar is coloured in using my pens and then I used the fancy square decorative detail, (correct name is the damask stamp!!) from the Immortal Love set to do the grungy border.  I stamped it in vintage photo and then in walnut stain distress inks, before rubbing tea dye distress ink over the background.   I stamped the men's collage onto kraft cardstock using sepia ink and then distressed it.  The dp is Basic Grey and Bo Bunny and I distressed all the edges.  I added some jute webbing, a charm and some lasercut gears.

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Brighten your day - we want to see bright colours.  And you could win a £10 voucher to spend on Visible Image stamps.

Visible image Free Your Imagination and Time After Time sets

Today I am showing you aa couple of masculine themed cards using stamp sets from from Visible Image Stamps.
Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

For my cards I have used the Free Your imagination and Time After Time sets.  I confess to finding non colouring stamp sets a wee bit more off a challegne to create with - I am a steep learning curve!

For this card I used the sentiment, flock of birds and small feather from the Free Your imagination set.  I created a card blank using navy blue card stock, and then stamped the sentiment across the top of it.  I stamped the flock of birds  and then the smaller feather.

I stamped the large feathers from the Free Your imagination set down the side of the kraft cardstock and then the flock of birds.  I frantaged the birdcage using aged spice frantage and added it before stamping the sentiment from the Free Your imagination set.  Finally I added 3 pearls.

This card uses both the Free Your imagination and Time After Time sets.  I created masks for the watch and wings from the Time After Time set, and then created the flying watch by stamping the watch first, and masking it before stamping the wings over it.  I then masked off the watch ad wings and stamped the crackled background over it all.  I used the large feather from the Free Your imagination set to create the background, and then stamped the sentiment from the Time After Time set.
