Summer
As it is getting warmer and hopefully we are going to have lots more sunshine, we thought we would like to see your summery cards.
I have to confess to a bit of a rush job on this card - I haven't made a card for over two weeks, and have spent the day making my DT cards for this week.
Anyway onto this card ... only one image really sprang to mind for summer (possibly brought on by the squeals and giggling of two sunsuit clads little girls in a paddling pool!) ...
I coloured this fab image in using my promarkers. I have kept the layout quite simple as I am going to use it as a child's birthday card. I went for bright summery colours but very little embellishment - nothing looked quite right.
Do have a go at the challenge and I look forward to visiting your blogs this week
The exam marking is over so I am back in Blogland and in my Craft room. I am hopefully going to get some time to craft and do some challenges this week ... oh and get some blog hopping in - I haven't visited a single blog for 2 weeks!!!
Recipe:
Stamp(s): Sugar Nellie Rock Pool
Colouring Media: Promarkers
Papers: cardstock, DCWV adheshive stack
Embellishments: ribbon from stash
I have made a baby card for the challenge. I coloured the giraffe in using my promarkers, and added white gel pen freckles. I resisted the temptation to distress/emboss the Coredinations cardstock, and added the gorgeous DCWV Nursery stack papers ... which have jungle animals on them! I added an elephant stamp and the special delivery stamp that I found in my miscellaneous stamp box (I really must look in there more often!) Satin ribbon and a bow finish it off.
As I am going to be sending this to a sick child I have chosen bright colours and kept the layout simple. I coloured Sherbert in using my promarkers and the cut it out using my nesties. I inked the edges of the white dp and the flowers and swirl. I added pastel green pearls to the flowers and swirls.
I colured Sherbert in using my promarkers and cut her and the matt out using my nesties.I have kept the layout simple, just matting the dp and only adding a bit of ribbon, as it looked too fussy with flowers.
All this is up for grabs.jpg)

I used ribbons rather than papers for the little tabs and coloured white mulberry flowers in using promarkers. The papers are from Making Memories and have sat unused for about a year!

I coloured in my Gorguss girl in using promarkers, and cut and matt her using nesties. I kept the papers simple, adding some flowers and ribbon, and then some pink and green adheshive gems.
