Annabel the Mermaid

I thought I would have a go at a technique for colouring in I saw in a craft magazine ages ago - using dots.  I thought this technique would be perfect for the scaly effect I wanted for the mermaid.  I coloured Annabel in using my pens, before adding the background and pearl detail using a pearl pen.  I have kept the card simple as I wanted the attention to be on the image, so I simply added some pearls.

Here's how I coloured the image ...

Iused a mixture of the fine nib and bullet nib to create different sizes.

 Supplies:
Sentiment:
Colouring medium: promarkers and flex markers
Skin: sunkissed pink, blush, ivory, pastel pink
Hair and Tail: :forest green, marsh green, cider apple, lime twist
Clothes: Aubergine, plum, wild orchid, orchid
Other colours: saffron, sunflower, mustard, storm blue, stonewash, cadet blue
Papers: Bearly mine Designs Mini dots and Simply dots
Embellishments: flat backed pearls, viva decor pearl pen
Tools:

 Challenges:
Totally Gorguss - spotty
Bearly Mine - anything goes
Bunny Zoe - anything goes
