Crafting Time DT - paint

This week we are featuring paint on our projects. I decided to decorate a couple of stacking wooden tubs.

I used gesso to prime the wooden tubs and then painted them with a couple of layers of pink acrylic paint. The crackled effect was created using an IndigoBlu crackle stamp and gold acrylic paint.  I added some pretty lace, seam binding and a layered flower to decorate the larger tub, and just a layered flower for the smaller one.
The smaller one isn't quite finished - needs some lace adding to the inside ... the tubs were for my Gran for Easter, but sadly she died on Thursday night and I haven't been able to finish off the smaller tub.  I will get round to it, just not yet.

A couple of cuties

I had a lovely time on Thursday catching up with my fantastic, lovely friend Ali and her husband at the NEC.  I bought a bit, including some of the latest LOTV stamps.

My Mum had asked me to make a couple of cards for the girls for Easter and the LOTV stamps were perfect for them, girly, spring like and pretty.
Isn't this bear just so cute, holding that flower?  I coloured the image in using my promarkers and distressed the edges.  The dp is all Pink Petticoat, and again its distressed.  I added some ribbon, and a couple of layered flwoers with ickle flower brads at their centre.

Challenges:

And this bunny and butterfly is adorable!  Again coloured with promarkers and using Pink Petticoat papers.  I punched butterfleis out and added some flat backed pearls and gingham ribbon.

The Sugar Bowl #80

Its my turn to do a sketch for the Sugar Bowl challenge ...
and we have the optional extra theme of spots and dots.

I used one of the cute Mangas, Woodland Fairy, for my card, and coloured her in using promarkers.  I used some digi dp I have and matted it all onto kraft cardstock.  I added some ribbon, a knotted bow, and a layered flower with card candi at its centre.

One lucky winner of this challenge will have their choice of 4 stamps (or 6 stamps, if we reach 100+ entries) either from the new release or any stamps from the Sugar Nellie range at

What's on your work desk Wednesday

I have been absent from my desk for a couple of weeks thanks to an Ofsted inspection, and the loss of my mojo. Having an enforced break from my desk getting all my paperwork ready has left me slightly uninterested in my desk :(.    So before I go to bed I thought I would share my desk with you ... really busy in the morning so won't have time to post my desk in the morning ...

So here is the view of my little space ... Notice hubby has begun to encroach and spread out into my space!! So my pens are ready, and I have things primed ready to do arty things with, a new ribbon and blooms kit to play with...

But no incentive, mojo or desire to do anything!! Hopefully a trip round the NEC on Thursday will get me back in the mod for crafting. I have DT work stacking up and half done ... I need to be crafting!!

Have a fab Wedesday and happy crafting and if you want a sneaky look at everyone else's crafty space, pop over to Julia's for the linkies.

Desperately seeking ...

my mojo ... it has gone walkabout and taken with it any desire to craft :(.  I have had to force myself to stay in my craft room until I finished a card today ... not at all like me!

I used Lambing pip and coloured her in using my promarkers.  I love this fresh colour combination, very spring like!  I used Basic grey Piccadily dp, a doilly, some flowers make from the Marianne Creatible chinese rose die, and some ribbon.  The leaves for the roses are made from a hydrangea flower cut up, and I added some cute lambs tail flowers and a green pin to finish it off.  Finally 3 flat backed pearls on the image.
