No card ... but a couple of pics of the girls

I've had such a busy week this week with Ellie starting school, and the children I mind term time arriving back, and another one during the day ... so sadly no card making all week!!! I kep jotting down challenges and then am too tired or busy at night to do them :(.
Anyway here aer a couple of picks I took of the girls today

My Princess .. not a fairy as she pointed corrected someone in the local supermarket!
And my big school girl ... I think school is a little tiring as she fell asleep on the chair leaving the table after tea!!

Aww bless her!!

Dutch Dare Card Challenge 60

A Colour Inspiration

And here's my interpretation:

I have used one of my new Magnolia Stamp kit images and coloured her using copics and promarkers. I kept the layout simple, and threeaded thin satin ribbon through the raffia ribbon to add interest.
Do take the time to have a go and check out the DT's cards.

Blue pearl and sandstone Tilda

The girls got up at 5.45am this morning ... so I had to get up!! It did mean that there was a window of opportunity for crafting ... so I combined the Papertake Weekly sketch, with Passion for Promarkers blue pearl and sandstone challenge, and Magnolia Down Under's recipe (1 flower, 2 ribbons, 3 brads and 4 papers). I didn't include my cardstock in the papers, hope thats not cheating!
Tilda is coloured in promarkers and then matted onto blue cardstock. I distressed the papers and cardstock and faux stitched them. I added some blue organza and gold organza ribbon, and a flower by Prima (not punched shock horror!!).
Got a busy day ahead ... off to a play barn this afternoon, then the after school children arrive and then there's the ironing to do!! Now I am going to go and clean all the outdoor toys as its not raining!

ABC challenge ... D is for ...

DIECUTS
This week we would like to see your diecuts, punches etc on your card.

I coloured my image in using copics and promarkers. I used my nesties to cut the image and mat out. I distressed the image using shabby shutters and broken china, and then stamped the swirls in broken china. I punched the flowers using 3 sizes of punch.
I followed the Spoonful of Sugar sketch, used the colour inspiration from the Basic Grey challenge, and used my favourite stamp (Stamp Something)

Finally a card ...

I haven't made a card for days as we have had visitors, and Ellie and I have been ill. With both girls in school and pre-school this morning I bashed on with some DT cards, but also had a go at making a challenge card.
I have used the sketch over at Create4Fun and the Allsorts challenge, something for the boys.
I love Hamish and have neglected him recently, so I inked him up and coloured him using copics and promarkers. I kept it all simple, being a boy's card, just adding buttons for embellies and a bit of distressing.

Friday Sketcher

Another card I made on Friday, but am only posting now as I have a sneaky few minutes. We have had a bad night ... Ellie was sick all over her bed and then all over Beth's bed, so I ended up on the sofa!! I have made this as an order for a friend using this week's Friday Sketcher. She wanted a very uncluttered card with NO flowers (deep gasp at that one!!)

I love this SN image, and watercoloured her and distressed the edges. I used my new nesties to cut her and the dp out. I made robbon slots nad threaded the ribbon through and tied a bow. I twisted the ribbon on the right side to add a little interest. Finally I stamped the corners. Very uncluttered!!!
Off to be sociable ... our friends go this afternoon and the girls were supposed to be going to a party, but not now, so I might get some crafting in later.

Just Magnolia - Mina's sketch

I am still taking time out from the blogging ... life is so hectic at the moment, and with Ellie at school now I feel I need to spend time with her when she is at home. Beth has had a great birthday ... it is still going on and will until Monday when the last of the adoring Auntie's visit! I am doing a sneaky post while dave and one of the girls' aunties baths them and does the bedtime thing!! I will try to get a pic of Ellie in her uniform for another post.

Mina has done a fantastic sketch over at Just Magnolia, and it provided me with an ideal opportunity to get one of the many children's birthday cards we have coming up done!
I watercoloured my image and used these fab papers from K and Co. I added buttons and gold braid, but have just realised that the sentiment is still somewhere in my craft room ... I say that as I made the card yesterday and then turned my room into a bedroom for the girls as we have friends staying ... so the sentiment could be anywhere!!

SCSC challenge week 48

This week's challenge has been set by the lovely Jane and is hearts and flowers.
I watercoloured my image and distressed the edges in antique linen, tattered rose and vintage photo. Having cut the image and matt out, I stamped the border detail. Another simple layout ... but plenty of hearts on that dp!!! I layered my ribbon and added some flowers.
I have just realised I used this image last week - doh!!!
Hope you can find the time to join in again this eek, and do take a look at the DT's creations.

Finally a card ... or 4!!!

What a busy few days, but I have found time to do some crafting and have done some challenges too!

This card uses the WOJ sketch, and is also for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is fairies and angels, the passion for promarkers girly glittery, and A Spoonful's distressing challenges.
I coloured the image in using my blue promarkers and added stickles to the wings and dress detail. I punched my own flowers and added stickles to them - certainly sparkly, and hopefully girly!!
This card uses the Simon Says Stamp sketch and Charisma Cards curls and swirls. Its Heidi's birthday over at SSS so here's your card Heidi!! Happy birthday!!
I watercoloured the iamge and cut her out using my nesties. I find the Basic Grey boxer papers quite hard to use, but they look fab on this, especially with the large Poppicrafts flower. I punched the other flowers and swirls and added a princess crown charm.

This card uses the Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch, Pollycraft's furry friend's challenge (I won the last challenge :)) and PBSC Christmas.I coloured the image in using promarkers, a first as I always use my distress inks for my PBS! I cut it out and the added it to the oval matt. I kept it quite clean as the papers are just a bit busy!!
Finally I made this for the Allsort challenge - not stamps.
I cut the layers out using my new labels 8 and cuttlebugged the white matt using dots and swirls. I added the gingham ribbon and a calla lily. A found a silver peel-off. It was my friend's dad's funeral yesterday and I made this for her and her family.

We have another busy day and weekend ... Ellie is back at school having loved yesterday and Beth is 3 today ... party today, tomorrow and then a friend's little boy's party on Sunday!!

Hopefully crafting will resume to normality next week!
