Summer time

I have lost my mojo .. think it is due to tiredness ... my older daughter now has chicken pox so yet more disturbed nights :(.  While she is having a cool bath I am sneaking on the computer ... Ellie is a limpet when she is ill, so i don't get much done!

I bought this HM stamp at the NEC in March and have only just got round to inking it up.  I coloured the image with my prisma pencils and then cut him out using nesties.  I made all the dp using my Waltzing Mouse stamps.  The ribbon and flower are from my stash.

Not sure how happy I am with it ...

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Guest Designer spot

Its my 2nd week guest designing for the Papertake Weekly Challenge.  The theme this week is Trully Dimensional ... we want to see lots of dimension and layers, nothing flat!!

I think I might have been a bit ambitious with this one!!!  I stamped this gorgeous House Mouse stamp out 5 times and then used my Labels nesties to cut them out in descreasing sizes.  I coloured the iamges in using my promarkers and then layered them up using 3d pads.  The dp is Making Memories Ethan, and I added some card candy to complete it.

Challenges;
A Spoonfull of Sugar - all creatures great and small

ABC Challenge, WOYWW and a challenge or 2

We are upto to Q and this week we would like to see Quilting or Sewing on your card.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Stamp Fairy.

The winner will received a $9.00 Gift Certificate to use at Stampfairy.com!

I coloured the image using my promarkers and cut him out.  I went round parts of the dp and the image with a white gel pen to represent applique stitching, and added ribbon, ric-rac and a couple of buttons.

OK onto a challenge card ...  This is my Mum's Mothering Sunday Card ...

I coloured this cute house mousey that I got from Lols using my promarkers.  I added some gloss to the raindrops ...very april showers.  The dp is Basic Grey Orgins and the challenges :
House Mouse and friends - Welcome Spring
Simon Says Stamp - Mothers's day/ girlie
Passion for Promarkers - in the Garden
Papertake weekly - For Mum/girly
Friday Sketcher - Sketch

And as it it Wednesday ... onto my desk ...

Its still a tidy desk as we are all still reccovering from the sickness bug ... just a few images coloured using my new prisma pencils and Maggie in her wellies and umbrella waiting to be turned into a card.   The i-pad is back as Ellie is back at school (thank goodness) and as the weather is nice, Miffy is out prowling.

Keeping cosy

I have started my Christmas cards LOL!!  I couldn't resist stamping this cutie up ...I do love HM stamps :)
I coloured the image using my distress inks and then inked the edges.  I added polar white flower soft for a little texture and snow.    I embossed the white cardstock and snowflakes using my CB folders.  I little ribbon and a couple of punched and stickled snowflakes finish it off.

It fits these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Bingo - punches, embossing, ribbon
Cute Card Thursday - 3,2,1 recipe - 3 papers, 2 snowflakes, 1 ribbon/image
House Mouse and Friends - embossing

Stampavie and More - sketch
 Everybody-Art-Challenge - snow

Charisma Cardz Challenge week 13 (GDT spot)

I am really proud and honoured to be Guest Designer for Charisma Cardz Challenge for this month.
This week's challenge is Animal Magic.
I inked up this fab House mouse stamp my girls got me for Mothering Sunday ... isn't it adorable!! I coloured it using my pens and matted it onto blue cardstock. As it quite large, I have kept the layout simple and added some organza ribbon and some swirls and a punched flower.

Pink and brown meeces

Its cold here ... our boiler decided to pack up on Thursday night and it won't be looked at until tomorrow. Fortunately we have a couple of heaters so we are managing to keep warm, and we went swimming today so e could have a shower and wash the girls' hair. Hopefully they will be back at school tomorrow.
I managed to get a couple of cards made last night ...

Both cards have chocolate in them so I am entering them into the Simon Says Stamp challegne which is hot chocolate and Quixotic Challenges which is hot chocolate. And as the colour combo in both is pink, brwon, chocolate and toffee I am entering them into the Charisma Cardz challenge.

The first card also uses my new stamp and new ink pad so I am entering it into Cute Card Thursday's all new challenge.
I have watercoloured the image and then distressed the edges using my new colorbox pink set (thanks Wendy!) Just a band of pink ribbon as this is such a big image.

I followed the Trully Scrumptious sketch and used my new ink pad to distress.
Again the image is watercoloured ... I confess to removing the other icke meece as the iamge wouldn't fit my nesties! I matted the image and dp onto brown cardstock. Flowers and a sentiment to complete it.
I am still on my 'lets keep things clean and simple' resolution ... .got a feeling the next card won't fit that as it will involve paper pleating!!!

Sketch and Stash #26

Welcome back after the New year break .. and we have another fabby sketch by Becky.
And here's my interpretation of it ...
I used this gorgeous House Mouse stamp that I got for Christmas (thank you Vicky!!). I watercoloured it and then matted it onto this gorgeous BAsic Grey paper. As the iamge is so big I only used the one paper. I added a button instead of the flower.
The DT have made some stunnig cards this time, and I can't wait to see your interpretation of the sketch.

Sketch and Stash #21

Yet another fabby sketch from Becky - although I do confess to be slightly challegned by the wonky layered papers ... how come when it needs to be wonky I can't do it, and yet normally I have no problems with wonky LOL!!
I won this adorable stamp off Lorraine's blog and couldn't resist stamping it up. I stamped it in sepia and watercoloured it, before 3d glossing the baubles. I used green organza ribbon and some layered flowers ... no sentiment yet .. still hunting the Christmas sentiments! The papers are new as well.
DO check out the other DT members blogs.

Sketch and Stash #20

Here we are at another Sketch and Stash, and another brilliant sketch by Becky.
I love this House Mouse, one of the latest acquisitions to my stamp collection! I stamped the image in sepia nad watercoloured it. I added ribbon to the stripe of dp, and a bow. The flower has a wire swirl round it, and I added wire to the edge of the ribbon. A bit of card candy finishes it off. Everything is new except the very neglected wire!
Do go and have a look at the DT's latest/neglected stash - you're in for a treat!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #51

This week's challenge set by Jill is Animal Antics.
I adore House Mouse stamps and am slowly beginning to collect them ... so many to choose from LOL! I love this one, those meeces look sooo contented! I watercoloured the image using distress inks and added stickles to the icing. I kept the layout simple, using these gorgeous Basic Grey papers, available from the Secret Crafter, and added some ribbon and pearls.

Do take a look at the other Design team's creations.

My time to craft challenge

This week's My Time to Craft challenge is to make a card using blue.
I have succombed to the call of Christmas cards and made this one using this gorgeous House Mouse image sent to me by Gisela. I have coloured the mice in a bluey grey and used a flesh tone for their ears and tails. The candle is is blue grey as well and hopefully looks like pewter. The papers are from Dovecraft and Papermania's embossed cardstock. The ribbon and gems are from my stash and the flowers are prima.
