Snowman card

I have been all inspired by Erika's red, kraft and white Christmas cards - loving the look of them, so I thought I would have a play with the colour combination.

I matted up kraft and red cardstock, and added a kraft octagonal die cut.  The snowman is a Tim Holtz die, and I covered it with picket fence distress stain and the used my edgibility die to cut the chrevon/ricrac style scarf.  I added some red twine and tied the strands together with a bow, before cutting several Memory box snowflake corners and postioning them behind the octagon.  The scarf is attached with a teeny brad, and I added a black pearl for his eye.

Quite liking it - needs some work on it, but i do like the colour combo.

 Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp -  we're so trendy (chrevon scarf!)
Do you stack up - kraft and twine

Totally Papercrafts challenge

This week's challenge has been chosen by the lovely Cathy, and the theme is Use Your Favourite Stamp

Our Sponsor this week is:-

This card is for my niece who is shortly going to be 3 - and she is as cute as this cutie!!!

I used Rosie from Sugar Nellie, and coloured her in using my promarkers.  Daisy always used to be the 'signature' stamp for Sugar Nellie - everyone HAD to have her and on ebay she goes for a fortune ... but whilst Daisy has a place in my heart, I have to say Rosie does beat her hands down on the pretty, adorable and downright cute stakes!!  The dp is MME Everyday flair, and I added some stitching to it (yes I meant not to stitch the whole way along the dp - husbands do at times ask the most stupid questions!!!).  I rolled some roses and added pearls to their centres before putting them on top of a Memory Box scroll die.  Finally a LOTV sentiment on a Dynamics diecut tag and some pearls.  I totally forgot to add ribbon - GASP!!!!  But it looks ok without I think!!
