Visible image DT card

Today I am showing you a Vintage style card I made using a selection of stamps from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie
I stamped Clara onto kraft cardstock using cocoa memento ink, and then coloured her in using my copics.  I stamped round the edge of her using the grunge flourish stamp, and then added some frantage. I distressed all the edges of my cardstock. I used the latest edition to the background stamps, Ripped Fishnet, and stamped it in sepia over kraft cardstock.  I used the edge of the grunge flourish stamp to edge the left hand side of the card, before stitching round it all. I stamped the mens collage stamp in sepia again and added it behind Clara.  Finally I added lace, flowers and gingham ribbon.

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Autumn Colours.  Visible Image also have some fab special offers on at the moment - and this set is one of them!!  You can find all the special offers HERE.  And if that is not enough Visible image are also offering FREE, yes FREE, postage both for UK and overseas shipping - so get ordering!

Krafty Flutterby!!!

I love this butterfly set from Clearly Besotted Stamps, and thought I would try doing a bit of embossing and inking with it.  The card blank is made from kraft cardstock, and having stamped the butterfly and trail in versamark, I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I created a mask for it and inked round the butterfly using aged maghogany distress ink.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from the same set.

Snowman card

I have been all inspired by Erika's red, kraft and white Christmas cards - loving the look of them, so I thought I would have a play with the colour combination.

I matted up kraft and red cardstock, and added a kraft octagonal die cut.  The snowman is a Tim Holtz die, and I covered it with picket fence distress stain and the used my edgibility die to cut the chrevon/ricrac style scarf.  I added some red twine and tied the strands together with a bow, before cutting several Memory box snowflake corners and postioning them behind the octagon.  The scarf is attached with a teeny brad, and I added a black pearl for his eye.

Quite liking it - needs some work on it, but i do like the colour combo.

 Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp -  we're so trendy (chrevon scarf!)
Do you stack up - kraft and twine
