Less is More - a sketch

This week's Less is More challegne is a sketch, and as we are supposed to be walking out of the door for a couple of days away, I thought I better get a move on with it!!

I used SU Crumb cake cardstock and some Coredinations whitewash cardstock, which I embossed and sanded.  I softened the edges of the crumb cake with some burgundy ink.  I punched the circles and added some small roses from WOC.  Finally some lush velvet ribbon and some flat backed pearls, and the sentiment.

Right must go ... will catch up with you all tomorrow evening.

Basic Grey Challenge

Its time for another of our fortnightly Basic Grey Challenges, and the theme this time is STITCHING, either really our faux, it doesn't matter.

As always, our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore, just think of the goodies you could treat yourself to with that !!
Simon Says Stamp $25 Credit Voucher

I used 5th Avenue from Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy range, and stamped her onto kraft, before colouring her with prismas.  The dp is Basic Grey Curio, which I distressed using my TH tool and sepia ink.  The stamped detail round the image is from part of a Prima stamp.  I faux stitched all the papers and added some lace from my lovely DT buddy Sandie, and some flowers from my stash.  The sentiment is part of an Inkadinkado stamp, and the flat backed pearls are from my stash.

Missing you

Here's a card I have had in the making for a few days ...
This is Missing you from Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy range. I coloured her in using my Distress inks and distressed the edges with shabby shutters and walnut stain.  The dp is from my stash and I have no idea what it is, but I distressed it with my TH tool.  I thought I would have a go at using some acrylic paint on the edges (borrowed hubby's!!), and then added some vintage photo as it was too white, if you know what I mean!!!  The vine is a K and Co rub on that I have had forever!!  I added some pearls and green gems.

Challenges:
Sugar Bowl - sketch
Stampin for the weekend - favourite things - all things Sugar Nellie, distressing, DI inks

Totally Papercrafts challenge

Its Friday (at last!!) and time for another Totally Papercrafts challenge - this week's challegne is Spots and stripes.  Now I have really seen enough spots from the girls' chicken pox to last me a life time, so there aren't many spot going on, just a few!!

The images are from LaLa Land Creations and Make it Crafty, and I coloured them using my prisma pencils, before layering them up.  Everything is distressed using my TH tool and vintage photo ink.  The dp is from Nitwits, the flag banner and sentiment banner are from Cuddly Buddly, and the sparkly 50 is from my stash.

I have made it for one of our very close friend's 50th birthday ... in days gone by he would have loved to have been a pirate methinks!

Paperplay - Stars and stripes (got stripes and I thought USA ... red, white and blue.  Hope its OK!)
My Time to Craft - Extra images
Stamp Something - 4th July/celebration/red, white and blue

Coffee Break

This stamp name is soo appropriate today ... I am in desperate need of LOTS of coffee today to keep me awake!

I coloured this cute LOTV image in using my prisma pencils.  The dp is Pink Petticoat, and the layered spotty ribbon was from the lovely Elaine (Happy Birthday sweetie xx).  I layered up a flower and cut a tag, stamped with a LOTV sentiment.  A really quick card today, as I am back working as Ellie's spots havve all scabbed over, and Beth has got an audiology appointment.
Catch up with you later.

For Fun - recipe - 2 ribbons, 2 colours (purple and white) 1 image, 1 sentiment

WOYWW

I love Wednesdays, as thanks to Julia we get a chance to look at everyone else's desks and in my case drool over all the lovely stash i want!!  I do blame Wednesdays for any gains in my crafty stash!!

Having spent last week on a restricted craft diet due to my younger daughter having chicken pox ... I am repeating my diet this week, looking after my older one who is now COVERED in spots!!!!

So here is my desk this morning ...
I hijacked hubby's space yesterday for my Cuttlebug as I was making flowers with Ellie.  Not much going on on my desk ...
Nope, nothing LOL!!!  The dp are out for a DT card, image is hidden!  My i-pad has moved as the cat has taken to sitting on it during the recent wet weather!!!  In the background are the latest release of Simply Sassys ready to colour and a fan-fold flower to finish.

Hopefully I will get some making done later, and some desk hopping.

Summer time

I have lost my mojo .. think it is due to tiredness ... my older daughter now has chicken pox so yet more disturbed nights :(.  While she is having a cool bath I am sneaking on the computer ... Ellie is a limpet when she is ill, so i don't get much done!

I bought this HM stamp at the NEC in March and have only just got round to inking it up.  I coloured the image with my prisma pencils and then cut him out using nesties.  I made all the dp using my Waltzing Mouse stamps.  The ribbon and flower are from my stash.

Not sure how happy I am with it ...

Christmas Sassys

Sugar Nellie have launched their 8th set of Simply Sassy stamps, all Christmas themed, and they are stunnig as ever.

I used Secret Santa and coloured her using my prisma pencils.  I used gingham papers and ribbon, and made some swirls using flat backed pearls.  The ticket stamps are from Whimsy Stamps and I used their ticket die to cut them out, before attaching them with a brad.

Challenges -
Totally Gorguss - pearls and Swirls
Art Impression Stamps - Buttons and/ or Bows
Crafty Purple Frog - Your Favourite Things (Simply Sassy, gingham, ribbon, Christmas!)
Delightful Challenges - Anything Goes
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything Goes

Here is Puppy Love from the same release.  I adore this cutie, but wanted to use for a non Christmas card, so I masked the bone and puppy off, forgot to mask the ribbon off ... oops, but it seems to work.  I made a springy card, not made one of these for ages.  The dp is SU Elegant Soiree, the ric-rac is from my stash, and the button fly is a TH die and cut out of glassine paper with pearls added to it.

Challenges:
Stamp Something - pretty papers

Monogram

This is just a quick post as I have a busy day in my craft room planned, as Dave has taken the girls out for a tram ride.
This week's Less is More is Monogram ... oh did my heart sink when I read this.  I have never done a monogram card before.

I used my one of my CB alphabet dies to cut out the D, and then used some off cuts of Pink Petticoat grey gingham papers to mat it onto.  I found a couple of square buttons to add ... very simple, I think it works.

Back to the craft room, will catch up with the LIMettes entreis later xx
