Just Cute Bears Challenge week 4

This week's challenge is a fabby sketch by my lovely blogging buddy Jane. We are sponsored again by Cuddly Buddly Crafts .

I love these papers and having got the 12x12's decided to buy the magazine that had the freebie 6x6 paper!! I watercoloured the ickle bear (and what a cutie she is) and then inked the edges. I used my nesties to layer her up. The dp is matted onto blue cardstock, and as it is a bit busy, I left the embellies to a minimum, just some flat backed pearls and a simple punched flower.

Do have a peek at the other DT members' interpretations of the sketch.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge week 70

This week' challenge has been set by the lovely Christine and it is multi-folds.
I have made a neverending card for it. This was a new thing for me ... but Youtube is a fab resource LOL!! and I was amazed how easy they are to make.

So here is the front of the card ...and it opens to this ..

And then this ...

And finally this...

Before going back to the front - lots of folds!!!!

I coloured the images using promarkers and copics (from Secret Crafter) and the papers are all MME ... a great way of using all your scraps! I computer generated the sentiments, and the digi images are from Stretch and Bubbles.

Do take time to look at the other DT creations at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge... and get folding!

I am having a few days away, its been hectic recently, with Beth's excema and other ailments, work, Ofsted, and life, so I haven't crafted all week (just was really organised over Christmas and got a head with DT cards) and I need a break... so I will catch up with you all mid week, when hopefully i will feel more relaxed and refreshed and Beth will have recovered from her impetigo.

Dutchdare Card Challenge #71

This week's challenge is a Valentine's card.

I adore this cute couple of kitties, all blushing and loved up!! I watercoloured them and distressed the background in worn lipstick and aged maghogany inks. The sentiment is PB too.
As the papers are quite busy I have kept the embellishments simple, just a bit of ribbon and a bow.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Stamp with fun - hearts
My Time to Craft - Hearts and Kisses
Simon Says Stamp - Whats Love got to do with it?
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Valentine
Cute Card Thursday - In the name of love

ABC Christmas Challenge D is for ...

Decorations
and this week's extra is ... ribbon.

I adore House Mouse stamps and love these ickle meeces playing with the decorations. I watercoloured the image and then stickled and glossed the baubles. I added green organza ribbon and then red and gold satin ribbon. I stamped the sentiment, having masked the holly centre off, and then added the little bauble.

Do check out the other DT member's cards.

Just Cute Bears Challenge #3

Its week 3 over at Just Cute bears Challenge and this week's theme is

Hearts

We are again sponsored by Cuddly Buddly and this is this week's prize.

Here's my card:
I love this cute little bear holding his huge heart. I watercoloured and decoupaged him and matted him onto cardstock and dp. I embossed some cardstock using my hearts folder and sanded it. The sentiment is by Penny Black. I added some swirls, a flower and charm to finish it.

Here's a close up of the decoupage.
Do visit the other DT to see their fab heart creations and cute bears.

Christmas cards

I am still on the 2 Christmas cards a week drive, and I have managed to find some challegnes that don't involve love and hearts!!!

The first card covers these challenges:
Wags n Whiskers challegne - metal (I used spacers)
Basic Grey Challenges - sketch (rotated)
Totally Papercrafts - recipe - 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image
Cute Card Thursday - spots and dots

I watercoloured the image and distressed the edges with mahogany distress ink. I love these BG papers and distressed the edges and matted onto blue cardstock. I stamped the swirl and added some white raffia. The flowers were a RAK from Jill and I used spacers rather than brads for the detail ... not done that before but I quite like the effect.

The next card covers these challenges:
Friday Sketchers - sketch
Bah-Humbug - holly
Allsorts - distressing + button/bow
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - pins and pearls
I adore this stamp, these meeces are so cute!! I watercoloured the image and distressed the edges. I distressed the dp and cardstock. I added the ribbon and bow, and the pearls are cream ones that I coloured using my holly promarker. I don't have any pins ... a bit dangerous with little hands helping to craft!!

We have had a busy morning ... a bit of crafting and the girls have had their swimming lessons. They are both doing really well and Beth is going to move up a group next time.

I am hoping to get some crafting in this afternoon, and make a few DT cards ... but it is lovely here so might go for a walk first.

SCSC week 69

This week it is my turn to choose the Secret Crafter challenge and I have chosen
monochrome
(tones of 1 colour and white)

I love this cute pixie, and watercoloured her. Having decided on my colour because I wanted to use this dp as I love it ... slight technical problem that I have nothing to go with it in the brown range! So I ran some coredinations cardstock through one of my CB folders and sanded it. Flowers looked wrong, so I settled for a bit of ribbon and a bow ... very simple layout for me!
Do take a look at the other DT's wonderful creations, and our GDT Vicky's card.

blue, white and brown Christmas

Lacey has a fab challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog - to use blue, white and brown. I only own the one Wags 'n Whiskers stamps (thanks Lacey) so I have made a contemporary Christmas card.
I watercoloured the image and stickled Bella's hat and stocking and the edge of the image. The gorgeouspapers are by Basic Grey and I have matted it onto brown cardstock and added some organza ribbon and a layered flower.

Love Actually

A card for a few challenges from me today:
Create4fun - sketch
By the cute and girly - love
Creative Card Crew - Valentine
Cupcake challenge - four legged and furry
Passion for Promarkers - all creatures great and small
Papertake weekly Challenge - love actually
Simon Says Stamp - photo inspiration
Whiff of Joy - love
Stampavie and more - pink and brown
Henry was stamped and masked so I could add the roses. I used my promarkers to colour him, red I find particularly difficult to shade with ... might need to buy a few more reds!!! I used my nesties to cut the image, squares and mats out. I added some brown organza ribbon and tied some red organza knots. A couple of roses and punched leaves to finish.
He does look a happy mouse doesn't he!!

ABC Challenge ... N is for ...

New
We would like to see you use some of your new stash.

We are sponsored this week by Lauretta of Lauretta's Digital Stamps whom is offering 4 images of the winners choice as a prize. Some of the design team have used her images as inspiration to you.

Remember you can combine this card with our challenge on the tutorial blog, where Wild Orchard Crafts have offered us 3 wonderful prizes of their lush roses. One lucky person will also be asked to Guest Design with us for the month of March.

I used two of Laurette's images, the mail box and Edwardian lady. I coloured them using promarkers and cut them out. I used my distress inks to create the background. The dp is faux stitched and matted onto cream cardstock. The flower and feather are recent purchases (opps, supposed to be on stash diet!!).

Do join in if you can and take a look at the other DT members cards.
