Flora

I started colouring this digi image, Flora, from Sugar Nellie, last week, and finally got round to finishing her last night.  She is coloured using my promarkers and flex markers.  The dp is MME Paris and Co (my fave colour combination!!) and I distressed, gessoed and distress inked the edges of the dp and cardstock.  I added some frosted lace stickles to the image and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The lace and pearl swirl complete the card.

Not really my style of card any more - slightly on the fussy side for me to be honest, but the person it is for will LOVE it.

Challenges:
Wild Orchid - shabby chic
Bunny Zoe - swirls and lace
Oldie but a goodie - flower power

Outlaw Luka

Here is a card I made for Ellie's 2nd best friend, Sam's birthday.  She has known him since they were both babies.  This is a digi image,  Outlaw Luka from LaLa land Crafts, and I coloured him with my trusty promarkers.  The dp is Basic Grey Wander, and I added some white card candi that I coloured with my cool grey 3 pen.  I was going to add the sentiment ... but couldn't find somewhere for it to fit and not look daft!!

Challenges:

Cards for Men - Happy Birthday

Angelica

I have made this for one of my favouritest people in the world ... thought she needed a little loving.

I have coloured Angelica from Sugar Nellie (out of stock I think at the moment) up using my very neglected copics, and added glimmer mist to her dress and wings, and a little frosted lace stickles on the ground.  The dp is Simply Stories, and I just love the muted shades in their paper pads.  I added some butterflies, pearls and a spellbinders bitsy flower with a pearl at its centre.  The ribbon is from Sew Sweet.

Challenges:
The Ribbon girl - girly
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything goes

The Craft Garden, a play and WOYWW

I am so late posting my card for this month's Craft Garden challenge, got me months muddled up!!!  We have a photo inspiration for you ...

So here is my project taken from this month's inspiration photo ...

I went for the shapes (the rosette flower) and the colours.  Pansies also remind me of the freshness of spring and early summer, so with that in mind I used TH's spring and summer distress inks for the background (but not the pink LOL!!)  I stamped over the inked background the TH stamp using eggplant ink, before using 2 TH background stamps stamped in Tattered Angels glimmer mists to create the shimmery splattery (think rain!!) background.  I also stamped over the TH butterflies with the same sprays and stamps.  I stained my ribbon using the inks and added some pearls to the butterflies and tag.

And here is my desk mid creation - everything covered do those glimmer mists don't get everywhere!!!
And another tag I made using the same techniques, just in browns and reds.  I tried stamping out the butterflies in glimmer mist down the side - hubby thinks it looks like some one has bled over it - he is so helpful at times!!!!
So for the first time in months I am joining back in with Julia's weekly hop across the desks of blogland - my mojo has been seriously missing until recently, but it is fab getting back into the swing of creating and playing!

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - tag or ATC
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
DutchDare Card Challenge - flutterby butterfly
Simon Says Stamp and Show - spritz, spray or stencil

Old St Nick

Since it is July and I have at least 100 cards to make for Christmas, I thought I ought to start!!

I used Old St Nick from Sugar Nellie and used my promarkers to colour him in sepia tones.  The dp is from BoBunny, and the cardstock is SU.  I cut a circle out of the cardstock using my scalloped circle nesties and embossed it with a CB smowflake folder. I added some rock candy and frosted lace stickles and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.  I resisted the temptation to add any embellishement - I am going for flat cards this Christmas!!

Challenges:
Sugar Bowl - sketch
Little Miss Muffet - sparkle
One Stop card challenge - coffee and cream
Secret Crafter - Christmas
Lollipop - Xmas in July
Stamps&Fun=Creativity - no girls allowed

Crafting time DT post

The theme this week is back to nature

I stamped the IndigoBlu Anemone corner using archival ink onto watercolour paper and then coloured it using my distress markers and  waterbrush.  Once the ink was dry I distressed over it using distress inks and stamped the sentiment from the IndigoBlu's Wild meadow set.

I created the background using distress inks and then stamped over the silohuette background stamp from IndigoBlu's Poppy Meadow set. I stamped the butterfly stamp from IndigoBlu's Wild Meadow set directly onto the card using archival ink, and then coloured the stamp in using distress markers before stamping it twice onto white cardstock.  I cut them out, moulded them and popped them onto 3d foam pads.  Finall I stamped the sentiment from IndigoBlu's Grand Tour III set.  Finally i added some teeny pearls.

 Make it Monday
