Summer fun

I adore this SN image .. but the poor thing only gets inked up in the summer LOL!!!
I have made a summery card for a few challenges:

Truly Scrumptious - sketch and Golden Oldie - use a neglected stamp
Paper Play - recipe - 2dp, 3 flowers, 1 ribbon, 1 charm
Totally Papercrafts - By the Sea

maggie and Hamish look like they are having so much fun in the rock pool ... hope Hamish doesn't get a toe pinched by a crab!! I coloured the iamge using my pens, and then rotated the sketch to fit. I layered up my flower and added the charm, which adopted a jaunty angle for thre photo!!

I am having great fun today playing in my craft room as the girls are away at the grandparents, and I ma not working today :) I have made a couple of cards for challegnes, caught up on some DT work and had a play with my airbrush.

I might be back later with another card, depending on how good the light it ... very dull and wet here again today.

Just Cute bears Challenge #29

This week's Just Cute bear challenge is Bear and me, so we are allowing you to have your bear accompanied!
We are sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy, and this gorgeous stamp, Bruno with Cupcake is up for grabs.

I coloured this stunning image with my pens and used my nesties to cut it and the mat out. I also cut a dp layer and mat from the same die, and the layered star. I added twine for a bit of interest.
I am entering this into this week's Charisma Cardz challenge which is teddy bears.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge wk 95

It's Tracie's turn to choose the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge theme, and she has chosen It'a man's world.

As it is coming up to the beginning of the football season, and my hubby's team got promoted (only to play Man United for their opening match!!!) I thought I would make him a good luck for the season card! I used Jake with Football from the Secret Crafter's own range of manga stamps. he is coloured using promarkers and cut out using my nesties. I used some Basic Grey Boxer paper, and Smirk paper. I added some ickle black brads and some chunky buttons.

We are off today to deliver the girls to my parents, so no crafting for 24 hours:(

InStyle Stamps Sketch Challenge

Its time for another InStyle Stamps Sketch Challenge. And it is a fab sketch this month ... with a bit of a twist ... it needs to be an easel card!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch...
I used Molly( or here in rubah ) and Lilah (In rubah you can find her here) and digitally masked the stamps. The images are coloured using my pens. The papers are DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket ... a bit brighter than I am used to, but suit these two beautifully. I added mulberry flowers and some ribbon. I hand wrote the sentiment ... this is for a firend of mine who is OBSESSED with shopping!!! if you ask her what she would like to do she always says ... " Lets go to the Trafford Centre"!!!! I call it the Tragic Centre

Here's a pic of the easel card.

I a entering this card into this week's Creative Card Crew challenge which is Cute and Girlie.

A card and WOYWW

I started this card last night and have finished this lunch time with a miserable Beth on my knee. It has altered slightly from last night's layout thanks to a 'helpful' Ellie punching bits of paper I had laid out ... thanks Ellie!!

This card fits the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz - soething with a tail
Creative Craft Challenge - animal antics
Passion for Promarkers - sketch
Simon Says Stamp - sing it baby ... I'm singing in the rain!

This cute mousey is coloured using my promarkers and then matted onto lilac cardstock. I glossy accented the raindrops. The dp is Basic Grey Wisteria and I added a variety of pearls, flowers and gems from my stash, and some layered ribbon.

And as it is Whats on Your Work desk Wednesday ... here was my work desk this morning...

I had started making the card last night, and ended up leaving it ...not usual for me!

Here is a closer look at the card ... before Ellie attacked bits of it!

Oh and here's the other half of my work desk ...hmmmmmm!!
Notice how the third of a desk has become nearly half, and quite possibly over half LOL!!

I survived 13 children this morning, but we are off to the doctors this afternoon with Beth as she has developed an ear infection. The receptionist helpfully pointed out that there were lots of appointments available this morning .. her ear wasn't running this morning!

ABC Challenge - A is for

Wow we are onto our third go round the alphabet!

So we are back to A with the theme of
August.

I love this Sugar Nellie range, and I think the image is very summery!! I followed the Sugar Bowl Sketch Number 20 and used Colour Create's Hot pink, warm orange and saffron theme ... very summery! I punched flowers and the butterfly and added some perfect pearls. As it is bright with white I am also going to enter it into this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Its wet here today and I have 13 children coming to play ... eeekkkKKK!!!!!!

Black and Pink Princesses

I just couldn't resist the Kenny K Gothic Angelz ... wondered when I was gonig to use them mind!!

But I needed to have a bit of fun and get messy tonight ... so I made this card for a few challenges ...

Friday Sketcher - sketch ... loosley interpreted, elements there, just wonky LOL!!
Kenny K - The Dark Side
Fuss n Fancy - pink and Black
Cupcake - distressing
Pollycraft - fit for a Princess .. well teenage Princesses!!

I digitally masked the images and coloured them using promarkers. I airbrushed the edges using Antique rose and black promarkers. The papers are made using Victorian Velveteen and Weethered wood distress inks with the promarker pens airbrushed over the top. I matted everything onto black cardstock, and then added a couple of bows and a distressed handmade flower ... I hate to admit it but these two could be my two princesses in years to come ... they love dressing up and raunchy dancing!!! (only 5 and 3 yrs old ... so got time to change their pathe LOL!!)

Right off to try to clean my hands up!!

I have made a card for Beth's birthday ... I can't beleive she will be 4 in a few weeks time ... scary!!! She loves dressing up and playing in my shoes ... so this image is perfect.
I coloured the image using distress inks and added perfect pearls for the necklace. I followed the Sketch Saturday sketch (I rotated it and plated with the sizes to get it to fit ... oh and correct the punching error I had!!). Just Cute Bears Challenge #28

This week's challenge over at Just Cute bears is a double challenge ... anything but square AND include a tag!!
I made a criss cross pocket card (rectangluar!!) for my card, and used my sizzix tag die to cut the tag for the inside. I cut it just inside one side so it has a fold on it ... just the right size for a crispy note!!
The image is and I coloured him using distress inks. The dp is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I have kept the card reasonably simple.

The DT has come up with some absolutely cracking cards as inspiration.
