What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

Ahhhhh NORMALITY!!!!!!  The girls are back at school, Christmas has been done nad dusted, just a few decs to put away, I am back at work, life is normal again!!!!

And it is Wednesday, time for the wekly snoop across the crafty desks of blogland, led by the amazing and talented Julia.
So on my desk ... wedding invite mock ups ...ekkkk!!!  I have offered (remind me to keep my mouth shut in future!!) to make the wedding invites for one of the child-minded children's parents as she is rushed off her feet.  She wants navy blue and cream, ribbon and pearls would be nice ... so I have given her a few options.  Which would you choose???  I like the 3rd one in from the left ... going to push for that one!!

Hopefully after the school run and before E arrives at 11am I will get some crafting time ... got a date with alcohol inks and my airbrush ... finally had a go at T!m's alcohol inks and propellant ... using my promarker airbrush and with some playing have realised that you get a fab splot if you spray the drop as it drops ... so much fun!!!!!  DH has shaken his head rather alot at me!!  I have clapped my hands alot ...!!!!

All the invites look very pretty, I am sure she will be thrilled with any of them. Families you just have to love them!!! A usual comment at my house is "How long did that take to make?"

Happy New Year!! I like the 3rd from the left one... its the contrast of the dark pearls against the white/cream paper, I think!!

Lovely and classy and I think I agree with your choice of invite although they are all lovely.
Not sure what this technique is that you talk about - must investigate.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #1

I know just what you mean about offering to do wedding invites! Sounds like a good idea at the time, but then when it comes to dealing with the fussy bride it is something else altogether. LOl
I did that last year and had to make 12 (I kid you not) mock ups before the bride was happy! The wedding is this Saturday so maybe I will show the invites next week.
Happy WOYWW

I'm hopeless at choosing, but in terms of multiples I think I'm with you, the ribbon on the 'preferred' invite will be a lot easier to reproduce! Other than that, they're all lovely, she'll be thrilled! love the hand clapping. Excitement of your discovery...and your DHs reaction...yep, everything's normal!!

Third from left for me as well - think its the ribbon across the top that wins out.
So your ribbon box is just like mine, full to overflowing. I forced myself to sort it out yesterday and binned quite a bit of short pieces I had been 'saving'.

I think its a mix of 2nd and 3rd ...love 2nd except for the ribbon ...for that I love 3rd...but its not for me lol. Good luck.

As long as she likes one of your samples that's all that matters. I prefer the one of the far right but that's no help, lol! Love the excitement of a new crafty discovery too! And as much as I look forward to a holiday or some time off, the routine of life is very comforting too.

As much as I love Christmas and everything that goes with it, I love putting everything away once it's over and getting back into a routine.

Well done you for offering to make the invites - look forward to seeing the results.

Hmmn! Tricky to choose. 1 or 3 if I had to.
Would love to join you with your alcohol ink and propellant session. I tried to explain this to Hubby once and I got the raised eyebrows look. The fact I was asking to borrow his compressor at the time met with a NO!! Too big to carry up the stairs!! Haa Haa!
Thanks for your visit.
