and then needed to glimmer it ..,
and add a stamp (this Hero Arts stamp is MASSSSSSSSIVE!!)
and finally an image coloured in promarkers and treated to the cracked glass effect. Oh and some punched butterflies from ther left over distressed paper.
That's what's sitting on my desk this morning after a happy couple of hours last night (I do confess to using the heat gun to speed the drying up!!). So what's on your desk this Wednesday ... pop over to the fabulous Julia's to snoop the desks of blogland.
I love the image, Butterfly girl, and these colours and the faded stamp give me that feel of autumn and all the butterflies slowly disappearing (well the ones that survive our kitten's attention!!). I love the richness of the colours of autumn, especially those blue skies that get softer and milkier as the season goes on. Can't wait for those frosty mornings, with scrunchy leaves and seeing your own breath in the air.
And after a bit of contemplation this morning (hubby is up and out by 5.30am!) I decided to alter this notepad ...
And now it looks like this!! ...

Shabby Tearoom - shabby autumn

Thanks for the peek! Sarah (at 11)
A great thing I noticed in your card that is your card is very small but after attaching various layers on behind, which make it gorgeous and more attractive. I done same thing with news paper.
Love those colours!!
Lovely colours and pretty butterflies too. I was in Paperchase yesterday and they had butterflies over everything!!

Gorgeous grungey autumny background and butterflies - I love the colours and the scrumpled look, like fallen autumn leaves. I agree with you wholeheartedly about autumn - I love it! "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and the scent of woodsmoke and bonfires, the rich colours, the first frost, and the evenings drawing in. Just lovely.
Happy WOYWW.
This is such a gorgeous notebook Cathy. I love the image you've used and the colours also. Thanks for joining us this fortnight at Truly Scrumptious. Hugs Michele x
Love what you've created with your altered pieces. After viewing some of the desks yesterday I bought a cheap notebook from Tesco with a view to altering it for the Passion for Promarkers challenge. May just get cracking this afternoon.

Cathy - that's gorgeous. Love the colours and the image together, almost a juxtaposition..but I can't agree about autumn..I can only see the gateway to dark cold winter. I'll get over it and appreciate the beauty eventually, honestly!
Wow Cathy this is just gorgeous, and just my sort of thing, the messier the better when I'm playing with inks :)
