Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Its FRIDAY!!!!  And that means its time for another Totally Papercrafts Challenge.  This week's theme is

 ACETATE

To make the card blank i cut a strip of white cardstock 15cm x 13cm, and then scored the long edge at 13cm to make a square card.  The cardstock was mbossed with a snowflakes folder.  I attached a piece of acetate (13x13cm) to the folded edge, and then added a strip of punched cardstock and some ribbon.  The branch is a Marianne Creatible die and I inked the edges of it with silver ink. I used TH fragments for the baubles, stamping snowflakes in stazon on to the backs of them, and adding circles of patterned paper.  I tied them onto the branch using white embroidery thread.

Puss in Boots

Another CHristmas card ticked off the list ...
This is Puss in Boots from Sugar Nellie's Homegrown range, and I think those little robins are VERY brave!!  I coloured the image in using my promarkers and then glittered the hats and stockings.  The dp is Basic Grey Jovial, and the die cut holly is from Memory Box.  I used my machine to stitch round the dp and as Christmas = gingham .. .so some fab red gingham ribbon needed to be added! I added some flat backed gems and a Craftwork cards sentiment to finish it off.

Now I coloured the puddy cat in black so he looked like our kitten, who is more likely to party with the robins than his big sister who would, well eat them as snacks!!!!

Challenges:
Passion for Promarkers - Christmas critters
CRAFT - recipe - 1 ribbon, 2 shapes, glitter

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

Hubby is home all week having had minor surgery and whilst I am sympathetic, well there is a limit to it!!  We have all been there and had something that involves a little incision and some pain, but its not like child birth, root canal treatment ... well in his case perhaps it is!!!!!!

Anyway its Wednesday so time for the weekly snoop courtesy of the lovely Julia ... this is my desk as i left it ... yes i am a tidy being and need to be organised and neat in my crafting ...
My lovely, and amazingly talented crafting buddy Debbi did a fab tutorial on these Finnish stars ... they look AMAZING and are so easy to make!!  I really shocked myself, and having got the big one made, did the whole resizing to do a ickle one.  The potential for these is amazing ... I am thinking very pink, girly, dream-catcher-ish, with ickle charms hanging from them, and BIG and GLITZY with lots of sparkle for Christmas.
Here's a closer look see ...

And the rest of my space ... a tub full of Spellbinder diecuts (snowflakes and holly accents) ready to be put on cards, a coloured Old St Nick from Sugar Nellie (must get him on a card soon!!), and more paper to cut up and turn into stars.  The wooden stamp is driving me mad ... inks too much in some places and not enough in others.  I have tried blotting but haven't had much success ... any ideas??

And i have to show you this ...
... the other side of my room .. BUSES!!!!!!!  I wish he was back at work!!!

Have a happy and creative Wednesday everyone,
