Just plain simple ...

I thought I would do some quite plain cards and as I am not brave enough to stamp directly on to the card blank, I stamped/printed onto cardstock before matting onto cardstock and the card blank.

How cute is this Crafty Sentiment image???  It so reminded me of my Ellie and her cat Miffy.  I coloured the image with my pens, did some doodling round the edge, added the pearls and sentiment and put it on a card.  Very simple!

CAS is the way forward ...

I keep thinking if I practise more CAS will be easier ... hopefully!!!
I have had ths Penny Black stamp set for ages, just not got round to doing anything with it.  I stamped the butterfly out using distress ink, cut it out and then liberally misted it with pearl glimmer mist - I wanted some 'veining' of the wings.  I embossed the white cardstock, and added a decorative corer and some ribbon.  I cut out the oval and stamped a swirl, before adding the butterfly.  Finally a double bow and some flat backed pearls to fiish it off.

New Dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps

Clearly Besotted Stamps are now doing dies - there are 3, one for their butterfly Wishes set, one for their Hoot set and one for their roamntic set.  I had to have the owl and butterfly dies to go with the stamp sets i have.  I love Steph's stamps, such good quailty, with clean, crisp results.

I used green ink to stamp the leafy branch onto the kraft cardstock, and then stamped the sentiment.  I stamped the owl out in brown ink and then coloured the heart in using my red promarker.  I used the die to cut him out, before popping him onto 3d foam pads nad placing him on the branch.

What's on Your Workdesk

It's been a while since I joined in the weekly snoop round the crafty desks of blog land - but one of my resolutions for this year is to do more blog hopping!!

I am sneaking a few minutes colouring before I start work ... Hubby bought me a daylight bulb for my desk light, and I need it today!!! I would love my iPad to take better pics for blogger, but hey-oh.

The girls want to go to the local play barn later, and it might take our minds off our poorly cat, she has been at the vet's since Sunday, having had convulsions :(. Hopefully I will be able to get on the Internet a the play ban and get that blog hopping done!! If you want to join in WOYWW pop over to Julia's fab blog for all the details.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge

This week's Crafty Sentiments Challenge theme is New ... anything new - home, baby, year, job, stash.

I went for New Year ... and New stash.

I used one of the December release stamps, Jasmin looks fab in this sexy LBD!!  I kept the colour combination simple, just black and teal/turquoise, and used this gorgeous ribbon and huge bow as a focal point.  I coloured the pearls with my pens to match the ribbon, and added some flat backed gems.  Finally a sentiment to go with Jasmin's celebration!

Fantastic News we will be opening from the 2nd of January and we have a fantastic New Years deal going on right now on the website so stock up on stamps if you don't have them already as a reduce price

The Craft Gareden January Challenge

This month's Craft Garden is a colour challenge - RED.

I made this Valentine's day card, as red screams hearts and romance to me.  I simply embossed the red cardstock with a Sizzix heart folder and CB Swiss Dots folder, before scoring a couple of lines and adding gingham ribbon.  I embossed the kraft cardstock using another Sizzix hearts folder, and added a couple of die cut hearts and a gingham bow.  Finally some red flat backed pearls.
