Christmas treat cone

This week's Crafting Time DT theme is Trick or Treat.  Not being the biggest of Halloween crafters I went for a Treat Cone for a Christmas pressie.
This cone is really easy to make - it is just a triangle simply fanned round 4 times and then scored and glued.  I made the cone up using Bo Bunny papers and then pleated green crepe paper round the top, securing it on the inside.  I added some lace and then stamped the Christmas tree onto white cardstock using pine needles distress ink.  I added a bit of bling to finish it off.

Inkylicious' Christmas Tree Flourish or IndigoBlu's Merry Christmas, or Funky Circles would work equally as well.

Colouring medium: pine needles distress ink
 Embellishments:  bling
Tools: Scorpal

Christmas Wreath

The lovely Stephanie launched her own range of acrylic stamps on Friday, Clearly Besotted Stamps, and I couldn't resist a couple of sets.  Ordered them Friday afternoon and they were here the next day - amazing service, and the stamps are fabulous, really good quality.

So I had to have a play today - and I have made a couple of CAS Christmas cards ...

I love the wreath - it comes in 3 patterns and you stamp the bow separately, so colour combinations galore!!!  I simply matted it up and then added pearls and twine.  The sentiments are from the same stamp set.

Supplies
Colouring medium: SU ink pads (garden green, red riding hood)
 Papers: SU cardstock
Embellishments: pearls and twine from stash
Tools: nestability squares

Father Christmas tag

I thought I would blog the tag I made on Tuesday night.   I mised the tag with a bit of water and then swiped it through barn door and peeled paint distress stains.  Having dried it I swiped the tag through the stains again and then spritzed it with gold glimmer mist - the pic doesn't really show the sparkle and sheen on the tag.  The seam binding got the same treatment.  I stamped round the edges using a pine cone stamp from a TH Christmas set, and then stamped the TH collage stamp and sentiment.  Finally I made up the holly branch and pine cones using kraft coredinations cardstock, and sanding it up a bit.  I added some stickles to the branch, berries and cones.

Here's a pic of the tag before I decorated it - sparkly!!

Purple Rosie

I absolutely adore Sugar Nellie's Rosie,  she is so cute, sitting there with her rose.  I coloured her using my pens, and then glamour dusted hre wings and halo, and stickled under her dress.  Having distressed all the dp and the image, I stitched the papers using my sewing machine (it is now working again!!).  I added some gorgeous purple webbing, it is so strokeable!!, and some flowers made from a die set and a swirl.  I stamped the sentiment onto cardstock and added pearls to it and the centres of the flowers.

Bobbing on By

You know when you make a card and it doesn't work how you want, so you start again ... well this is attempt number 3 with this little cutie!! I started it on Sunday afternoon!!!  Orginally I was going to use some SU maculine papers and the sketch, but it looked too grungy, then I tried embossing instead of patterned papers, but that didn't look right, so I have resorted to spots!!  It also meant that I had to use 2 mats as I changed my backing colour from brown to red!!  But I got there eventually I guess.

I Love Promarkers GDT

I was really honoured to be aske to be October's guest designer over at I Love Promarkers.  This week's theme is autumn colours.

This fab Saturated Canary image is coloured using promarkers nad flexpens - I had a bit of play with the red as I wanted it to look browy if you see what I mean, so I used firebrick and rosewood flexpens, and poppy and blender promarkers.  IRL it has more depth to it, looking a bit flat in the photo.  I distressed the edges of the image and dp, and added vintage photo distress ink, and a swirly stamp, stamped in versafine.  I added some lace and gingham ribbon, paper flowers, buttons, punched butterflies, pearls and a doilly.  Finally I added the stamped sentiment, which I attached with a stapler and Tim Holtz paper clip.

Supplies:
Colouring medium: Promarkers and flexpens
Embellishments: doilly, pearls, buttons, flowers, lace, ribbon,
 Tim Holtz paper clip, staples
Tools: Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Tim Holtz paper distresser

WOYWW

After school last night my desk looked like this ...
As Ellie made the birthday card she wanted for her friend .. not the one I had made for her to give ..
Ellie made her own, and raided my stash!!
And after she cleared my desk I had a play - one tag distresed and glimmered and a bit of flitter glu-ing went on - not sure it works on Kraft.
But the tag looked fab ...
And after some playing and distressing ...
the finished item ... will take a better pic and blog later ...

So if you fancy joining in the fun of sharing your crafty desk, pop over to Julia's and link up!!

Ocean's Gift

I lave this cute Sugar Nellie image, especially that adorable sea horse!!  Having coloured the image in copics, I added stickles and some pealr drops using Viva Decor Pearl pens.  The big pearl that the mermaid is holding is coloured using a Viva Decor pen.  I was going to stitch the papers using my sewing machine, but it was being silly today, so they are faux stitched instead!!  I added some organza ribbon, lace, and fussy bow and some die cut flowers with ickle pearl centres.

The Craft garden challenge

We have a recipe challenge for you this month ...Your challenge is to choose 4 of the ingredients from the following list chosen by the design team:
Kerry - buttons
Luanne - banner
Helen - flowers
Kelly - Pink
Eleni - ribbon
Cathy - a tag
Emma - Sparkle

I went for a tag, creating one using my TH tag die.  I liberally misted it with tattered rose glimmer mist and distressed it using my TH tool and vintage photo distress ink.  Then I stamped a Hero Art script stamp over it in versamark, before embossing it with aged ivory embossing powder.  The cute fairy is Knitted with love from Sugar Nellie, and she is coloured with promarkers.  I glamour dusted her wings, pompoms and hat trim before cutting her out.  The dp is Prima Botanical and I added TH adage tickets, and a layered flower created using my TH tattered floral die.  Both the flower and tags have been distressed with vintage photo and tattered rose glimmer mist.  Some lace and pearls finish it of.  The ribbon has also been glimmer misted - not that you can really see it LOL!!
