A bit of a play with ...

glassine paper.  I ordered some from Simon Says Stamp and just had to have a play yesterday!!  Ohhh it is fab stuff!!  Love it!!!
I coloured the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy, Butterflies and Pigtails, in using my promarkers and cut her out.  I cut the tag out using the two sets of cardstock, and used my TH alterations butterfly die to cut the butterfly out of the tag and glassine paper.  I stamped over the cut out butterfly and added it to the layered tag.  I put perfect pearls over the glassine butterfly and then heated it, isn't the effect fab!!  The dp is from Stampin Up - Elegant Soirree,  and distressed it using my TH tool.  The braid is from Elaine.

For this card I coloured Hippy Chick in using my promarkers and then cut her out.  The dp is a mix of Making memories nad nitwits.  I cut the circle and layered flowers (TH Tattered Florals) out of glassine paper and then scrumpled it up ... it ages really well!!  I added perfect pearls to the flowers and atteached them using a brad.  Finally layered ribbon to finish.

Challenges:
Passion for Promarkers - pink/brown or blue/brown
I love Promarkers - sketch
A Spoonfull of Sugar -Here Comes Summer
Everybody-Art-Challenge - distressing

Hopefully Mr Blogger will behave this week so i can leave comments, although it probably won't be until the weekend as I am off to see Take That later, and hen off to Inverness for a couple of days.  My goodies will have a while yet to wait before I play with them.

Monday's offerings

The girls are at my parents for a few days, and whilst I have lots planned ... cinema, Blackpool, Take That, and a couple of days away, I still want to get some crafting for me done.  Crafting has been less fun recently, so I have decided to reduce my DT commitments and am now only on a couple of Design teams.  I am intending to just get inky for the fun of it more.

Here's a thank you card for one of Beth's preschool leaders:
I used Winking Student from Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy range, and coloured her using my prisma pencils.  The dp is from my  stash, no idea what it is!!!  I added some ribbon, flowers and a button, stickles and finally stamped the PB thank you sentiment.
Challenges:
 The Sugar Bowl - sketch
Paper Play challenge - sumer citrus splash
Trully Scrumptious - summer sparkle
For Fun - out of School

I am still trying to get a couple of Christmas cards made each week ...

I coloured the iamge using my prismas again and then used my nesties to cut her out.  The dp is Basic Grey and I punched the snowflakes using my MS punch, and added card candy to the middles.  I stickled the iamge and added a serntiment.  Very quick and simple.
Challenges -
Lili of the Valley - punch it out
Crafts and Me - punches
Totally Gorguss - sketch

And finally ... one I am not sure about but hubby loves!!
I love Hamish from Sugar Nellie, and he is in his rugby outfit.  I coloured him using my promarkers, and he is in Warrington Wolves rugby kit (a request!).  I used yellow and blue cardstock, and embossed a panel of cardstock.  I used a WOJ pendant die to make the flags and drew the lines on using a promarker.  The sentiment is part of an Inkadinkado stamp.

Sketch Saturday - sketch
Everybody-Art-Challenge - banners and flags
Passion for Promarkers - sporting marvels

I think I might have found my mojo again ...

I used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy image, Boho Chic, and coloured her using my promarkers.   The dp is a RAK from Elaine, and I have distressed and torn it ... admit  to having to get hubby to pinch me to make me breathe again, I felt like a criminal tearing it!!!  I added some stickles to the image and outer dp, some twisted twine and flowers from Sandie.  Finally some flat backed pearls and gems to complete it.  I now have a huge urge to do something very CAS!!!

Challenges:
Papertake Weekly - sketch (rotated)

Creative Crafts - blue, brown and cream
Cute Card Thursday - embellish it
Creative Card Crew - for a diva

Less is More - monochrome

Its been a bit of a shock to the system ... I went in my craft room and made a card ... I haven't crafted since Monday, we have had a lot going at home and I have been rather distracted.

This week's Less is More challenge is monochrome.

I used kraft papers and SU Crumb cake papers, and one of my new stamp sets from SU to create this.  The stamps are stamped in Memento Cocoa.  I feel something is missing, but when I tried to add some embellishment it didn't look right.

Hubby has been unwell recently and we are spending the day at hospital having tests done ... hopefully he will be home tonight.

WOYWW

Its Wednesday again, and time for a snoop round everyone's desks, led by the queen of snooping Julia ... I love Wednesdays ... getting to snoop, and to be honest, lust after!!, so many people's desks.  I try to get round lots of desks, as i have learned so much from reading people's posts - so many ideas, tips and advice learned.  I have WOYWW to blame for my love of all things TH and for a healthy collection of punches and dies ... you should hear my purse strings groaning every Wednesday!!!!

Right  ... Heres a view from the door ... the pens have been sitting on my chair for days!!
And a very empty desk.  The goodies at the back are from a RAK from Sandie, and i have a few images stamped, but nothing on the go.  The kraft is out and some foil trays from some very yummy bakewell tarts :)  Going to experiement with inks on them.
I have had a nasty bout of sinusitus and it has taken my mojo away :( .  I am hoping to find it again very quickly as I have a bunch of cards and DT projects to make.

It is the 2nd annviersary of WOYWW ... wow 2 years.  I would have loved to have joined in the PIF ... it is half made, but not finished :(

Just a quick question ... I have a chipboard album I want to do .. should I prime the chipboard in primer paint or ink??

 Thanks for popping by,
