Christmas - 2 takes on it!!

I am cracking on with the Christmas cards and have made a couple that are very contrasting ...

A very CAS Christmas card, and probably going to be one of my mass produced ones!!  I simply embossed some white cardstock with the wreath embossing folder and then stamped the wreath and bow in the centre.  Having stamped the text I matted it onto red cardstock and onto a card blank - very easy to do en masse!!

Supplies:
Colouring medium: SU ink spots
 Papers: SU CHerry Cobbler
 Embellishments:
Tools: Embossing folder, cuttlebug

Challenges:
Charisma Cards - CAS
Christmas Stampin' All Year Round - traditional colours

And now for something completely different - I do like making the odd vintage, embellishment heavy card ...
I coloured this cute LOTV fairy in using my promarkers, before distressing her with vintage phot distress ink and my paper distresser.  The dp is also distressed using the paper distresser and ink.  I added some muslim, lace, and ribbon, and added a bow with a wooden button at its centre.  The metal Christmas tree is a faulty charm - it has no loop!!! - so I glued it down using glossy accents.  I added the distressed decorative corner, WOC flowers and the LOTV sentiment.  Finally some teeny pearls were added to the decorative corner and the edge of the card, and the angel's wings and the edge of the image were stickled.

Supplies:
Colouring medium: promarkers
Papers: Basic Gery Frosted Aspen, Jovial
Embellishments: WOC flowers, ribbon, lace, button and pearls from stash
stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug, Heartfelt Creation Die, Tim Holtz paper distresser

WOYWW aka PLAYTIME!!!

Its Wednesday and time to snoop across blogland oodling at all the crafty loveliness on peeople's desks, courtesy of the amazing Julia.

I have finally got round to opening my Tando Advent tree so there it is in all its bitty glory!!!!!
There are lots of bits to it LOL!!!
So while the children played nicely with the friends' they had round for tea, I got down to a bit of distressing.  I used Festive Berries and Evergreen (?? name gone totally blank - will look and add!) to distress the drawers and then misted them with some Tattered Angels gold glimmer mist.
I also stained the centre peicing using my trusty vintage photo distress stain - just love this stain.
So now I have 24 boxes and a fancy box and lid to construct, and them all to decorate!!!  The playing will continue for a few days methinks!!!  And then I have the Advent clock to play with :)))))

Supplies:
The Advent tree and clock, the inks and stains all came from That Craft Place.

Even witches like to dress up as princesses

OK there is a story behind this card ... Ellie asked Beth which witch costume she was going to wear for trick or treating (a bit on the early side I know but Ellie does like to be organised and organise!!) ... Beth replied that she was going to wear her new Rapunzel outfit.  Ellie pointed out that Rapunzel isn't very witchy  - to which Beth responded ... "Well witches might like to dress up like princesses sometimes!!!!  Hence the image and sentiments!!!

I coloured the image in using my pens before grunging it up a bit using pumice stone distress ink and my trusty TH paper distresser, and adding stickles.  The dp and sentiments have been distressed and i added some webbing, ribbon and a fussy bow, layered flowers with a pearl centre and pearl pin,and a spider's web.  The top sentiment was a freebie on the Tiddly ink fb page, and the bottom one was computer generated.  Finally a couple of wee bats to finish it off.  Spookily cute!!

Welcome Christmas into your heart

I haave had a bit of a crafty morning, and having got a couple of DT cards done and dusted I thought i would have a go at a CAS stamped and coloured image Christmas card.  Still having a bit of a play around with what will be this year's Christmas theme!!  Anyway I stamped this adorable angel onto my card blank and coloured her with my pens.  I then embossed the circle round it , and stamped the sentiment, adding just a couple of teeny gems.  I resisted the need to stickle the angel within an inch of her life or add more bling.  Finally some red gingham to finish - I have a roll of this and some matching dark olive green thanks to one of my neighbours who saw it and thought of me - crafty talk in the playground does pay off LOL!!!  Its a bit wider than the ribbon I usually go for, but perfect for Christmas.
