Say it with Flowers

I know I am up early, but Ellie's sick bug has returned and I have not had much sleep, thanks to an argument next door and the water treatment plant alarm going off at silly o'clock this morning :(.
Anyways,  I have been having a play with Letraset Aquamarkers ... I think I might still need a bit of practise!!
I stamped this cutie from LOTV up onto watercolour paper and coloured using aquamarkers.  I haven't inked this bear up for ages, isn't he sweet.  I kept everything simple, using the last of these papers from Doodlebug, and a gorgeous lace doilly.  The flowers are Prima and I added big brads.  The sentiment is rom Craftwork Cards.  I added this gorgeous spotty ribbon from Bo Bunny ... I have had it ages and have only just summoned up the courage to cut into it!

 Challenges:
Lili of the Valley ~Say it with Flowers
Sir Stampalot ~ Spring is in the Air (Green, Yellow & Pink)

Less is More

I didn't get a chance to play along last week, but I have managed to sneak into my craft room and make a card for this week's Less is More challenge ... one layer and off the edge.

This card features a couple of new techniques for me .... I have never been able to succesfully emboss my dies onto cardstock without cutting the cardstock .. thanks to my fab blogging buddy Ali giving me a simple explanation I have done it!!!!!!  So I embossed a Go Kreate die in the top left corner and stamped the PB greeting.  Off the edge stamping is new to me for CAS cards ... I use the technique when I make my Lavinia fairy based cards, but would not have thought of using it on its own.  So i used one of the Lavinia flower head stamps I have and stamped it in the other three corners using versafine.  And that it ... simples ;)  I love all that white space, and haven't even felt the urge to fill it:)

And while I was creating so was Ellie ...

She has been proper poorly with the gastro-enteritis bug going round school, but is brighter today and wanted to get up ... I won't show you what the rest of the table looks like ... Daddy has a LOT of sorting and tidying to do LOL!!

Pink Polka dots

Here is the last of the new Manga's from Sugar Nellie ...

I coloured the image using a mix of copics and promarkers and cut her out (again the cat 'helpfully' distressed the edge!!).  I kept the layout simple, embossing the white cardstock, and placing the image on a layered oval.  The spotty ribbon is from my stash, and the sentiment is by Craftwork Cards.

Challenges:
Sugar Bowl - sketch and Spring - I've used spring colours
Cupcake Craft Challenge - pink polka dots
Cute Card Thursday - Happy Birthday

I have a poorly girl still ... she now has a very high temperature, so not much blogging going to happen today :(

A quick card ...

This is a quick post as I have a poorly Ellie .. she has caught the sick bug going round school and is very poorly ... can't keep anything down, even water :(
I made this card using the image I was colouring yesterday ...
Its another of the soon to be released Sugar Nellie Mangas ... I love all 5, and only have one left to colour;) . I coloured her using my promarkers and then cut her out (thanks Miffy for the muddy marks!).  Another simple card for me ... its kind of been thrown together inbetween sitting with Ellie and her sitting on my knee, and I have been sleep deprived recently so am suffering from a lack of mojo!

Challenges -
Trully Scrumptious - sketch
Papertake Weekly - Lemon Zingy

I have been given this award by my lovely ABC challenge buddy Kendra ...
For this award I have to say 7 more things about myself and pass it on to 15 people.
Not sure I can think of 7 things at the moment!!!  And I am going to pass it on to everyone who visits my blog.

Magical Monday week 17

Its my turn to choose the Magical Mondays challenge and I have chosen Spring colours.

I used this cute fairy stamp from Lili of the Valley and coloured it using my copics and promarkers.  I followed the Lili of the Valley challenge sketch, using Doodlebug papers and ribbon from my stash.  I am loving having lots of white space on my cards .. keeps them really fresh and crisp, just like Spring!!  The layered flowers are from my stash.

Boyz (and new!!)

I'm having a boyz day!!!  And been using 2 new images, one of the latest Mangas from Sugar Nellie, and one of the latest Kenny K's.

Here's a Cherry on Top from Sugar Nellie.  Its one of the new Mangas released at this weekend's SECC, and I coloured it using my promarkers.  I followed the sketch and CAS theme over at the Sugar Bowl, and the white cardstock panels are embossed using one of my new embossing folders.  I added some tiny black gems to finish.
It fits these challenges:
Craft Your days Away - Black and white (and a teeny bit of red!!)

And my second boyz card ... using teen idol from Kenny K.  I coloured him using my pens and then coloured some white buttons to match.  The dp is Basic Grey Oliver.
It fits these challenges -
Kenny K Krafty Girlz - sketch
One Stop Card Challenge - black, white +1
Allsorts - teenager card
Stamp Something - digi

I'm off to finish my cuppa, do a bit of blogging and then face the mountain that is our ironing!!

SECC goodies

I have just got back from a fantastic day at the SECC with my lovely blogging buddy Ali, who I finally got to meet.  She is as fabulous and lovely in person as she is in cyber space, a true friend.
And I met Gayle ... she is gorgeous and lovely too ...
And a sneaky pic of Karen from Sugar Nellie and her stand ...
and all that gorgeous calorie free sugar ... and those pink ones are the latest Mangas launched at the show .. they are gorgeous ... and I have them!!!!!!!!!!!
Ali 'made' me spend money!!!!!!....  here is my stash from the show ... Sugar Nellie Mangas and the 2 Sassys I don't have yet, 3 sets of dies, 2 embossing folders, 1 template, and 4 Lavinias.

I also met Dawn (All Pink Girl) ... she is fabulous too!!!

I had an amazing day ... thank you so much Ali, and Andy (wow he is one patient and amazing husband ... Dave needs lessons!!), Gayle and Karen xx

Oh while I was shopping the girls nad Dave saw Glasgow, went on the Clockwork Orange, went out to Dunoon on a 'fairy'(bless Beth!!) and ate pizza ... but not battered and deep fried!!!!!

Tomorrow there will be lots of sugar to colour and Lavinias to play with ... the ironing can stay in the drier!!!!

Basic Grey Challenge #40

This week's Basic Grey Challenge theme is Wings ... its can be fairies, butterflies, birds, anything with wings.

I used this beautiful  LOTV fairy and coloured her using my promarkers, before airbrushing the background.  The dp is Basic Grey Wisteria, and I added some Prima flowers and flat backed pearls.  I made the punched boreder using a Martha Stewart punch and added some thin satin ribbon.  I have been in 2 minds about it ... I like it, but then I keep think it needs more, but whAT??????????

I am on the way to meet my lovely blogging buddy Ali at the SECC today ... hopefully I won't spend too much - yeah right ... a craft show and not spend ... doesn't compute!!!!!!!

Naughty Meeces!!

Here's a quick card I made today using the House Mouse images I coloured on Tuesday night ...
I love making tri-fold cards and the larger House Mouse stamps are great for them as they fill the space well!
I love these cheeky meeces stealing the Jelly beans ... and the little one just popping out from the inside .. wonder what he has LOL!!!
I coloured the images using my cpics (need to practise meeces with the browns!) and then dug out the loudest, most sweetie looking paper I have (K & Co!) and matted the dp and images onto green carsdtock.  I decide to use just the 1 dp and keep everything very embellishment free, as, to be honest, that dp doesn't need anything else except maybe sunglasses!!
Here is the cheeky one on the inside, clutching his stash of jelly beans!!!

It fits these challenges:
House Mouse and Friends - multi-fold
Charisma Cardz - 4 legged friends

Now the debate as hubby is out .. telly or craft room!!!!
