Winter blue and blog candy winner

Another Christmas card under my belt :) I made this card using the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - sketch
Totally Tilda - stitching
Pollycraft Challenge - in Stitches
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Christmas
Cupcake Craft Challenges - recipe - 2 papers, 2 ribbons, 2 flowers
Creative Card Crew - Sparkle and Shine
Passion for Promarkers - Winter Blue

I coloured this gorgeous Tilda with Promarkers and then inked the edges with silver ink. The image and papers are inked and stitched with silver pen. I added co-ordinating satin ribbon and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards. I inked a couple of white flowers with silver ink and layered with punched snowflakes and snowflake brads.

Wags n Whiskers are releasing a new set of stamps on Friday ... and I can't wait, looking at this sneaky peek!

And finally the winner of my blog candy is ...

Bright and Bold

The Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenge calls for Bright and Bold this week, so I coupled it with the sketch from Papertake Weekly ... and for me it is really bright and bold!!
Oh and I forgot ... Totally Papercrafts ... rainbow ... those papers must qualify for rainbow!!!

I coloured the image using my pens and then added the spotty background. I found some cerise cardstock, and matted the dp onto it. I added the stitched ribbon and wrote the sentiment myself. I pondered flowers ... but to be honest that would have been overkill!!!

InStyle Stamps release week

Its Instyle Stamps release week and there are some fabulous stamps in the release. To see all the stamps and the Design team's fabulous creations check out the Instyle Stamps blog.

Summer Breeze is on of the stamps available to buy from 20th August ... it reminds me of a summer meadow .. you can almost hear the bird singing and the bee buzzing!
I coloured the iamge using my pens, and then chose these hot summery papers from K and Co (Que Sera). I matted onto white cardstock, and added some white ribbon, and punched flowers.

Remember this image will be available from 20th August at Instyle Stamps.

I am entering this card into this week's Everybody Art Challenge as the theme is In the Garden.

Sketch and Stash #42

It's Sue's turn to design the sketch this week ... and she has come up with a fantastic one.
We are sponsored again by Digital Delights who are offering a $10 gift voucher.

I have decided that it is about time I got on with some Christmas cards, but feel the need to get some quick and easy ones done. So I have used my neglected Santa Collage stamp ... don't think I used him at all last year! I stamped him up in poppy read and matted him onto red cardstock. I embossed some white and red cardstock with my new snowflakes embossing folder and layered them up. I made snowflakes using acetate and glamour dust, and added some stickles.

You will have seen this stamp used for the ABC CHristmas challegne last week .. .because once I had made this card I thought I might as well use the stamp for their challenge too!!

Just Cute bears Challenge #30

This week's challenge is Buttons and Blooms.
Becky sent me this fab Pollycraft image ages ago, and she seemed perfect for this challenge. I coloured her using my pens and used nesties to cut her and the mat out. Some ribbon and these fab recycled flower buttons finish it off.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge wk 96

It's Vicky's turn to choose the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge theme, and she has chosen What are little girls' made of. Some many images to choose from, but this fab Sugar Nellie is my two girls to a tee ... and my room when they have finished!!

The iamge is coloured using my promarkers and copics. I used this gorgeous Basic Grey Olivia dp as I thought it resembled splodges of paint! The punch is a Martha Stewart one, and yes I did mean the punched dp to be opposite the punched cardstock! I added card candy and a ribbon.

What Pet's on your Workdesk # 1

Welcome to week 1 of What pet's on your workdesk. You can find my card for today here.

This is the place to share of those fab photos of your furry or feathered friend's helpful moments during the week! Just add a link of your post showing your furry/feathered friend crafting, and I will pop by and see what he/she/they are doing!

Here's my helpful puddy cat Miffy to start us off ..

I want that piece of ribbon ... so does she. I have turned the image I have just coloured over as she is very good at 'distressing' them for me, usually by walking across them with muddy feet!!
She really does want that piece of ribbon!
Oh and the brush I use when embossing ... that has to be killed!!
Can't wait to see your pet's helpfulness ... just leave a link on the blue froggy. And don't forget there is still time to enter my candy ... the link is on my sidebar.

We are off away for the weekend in a tent ... Miffy is off to the cattery ... hmmm wonder who has the better weekend LOL!!!

Catch up with you all on Monday.

Father Christmas

My Christmas LOTVs arrived on Wednesday ... so I just had to have a play. I confess to going for lots of simple and flat Christmas cards this year ... so not many embellies!!

This card fits:
LOTV - Four Seasons - I have chosen Winter
Cute Card Thursday - Tree-mendous ... trees and leaves ... he's sitting on a tree, well an old tree!!
Stampavie and more - Christmas in Summer

I coloured the image using my pens and then added stickles and glamour dust (lots of it is still wafting around the craft room LOL!!). I kept the layout simple, and just added some organza ribbon ... no other embellies! I have made up 7 more cards using these papers and layouts, just ready to put an image on ... Christmas WILL BE less stressful this year ... well for now!!

The cat's gone to the cattery and we are off camping in the North East for the weekend later .. can't wait :-S!!

What Pet's on Your Workdesk

I love joining in the Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday ... but I have noticed that many of us have the helping paws of a dear furry friend ... so I thought I would start a weekly post showing your helpful friends, starting this Saturday. Every Saturday I will post a new thread for you to add your furry ones at work in your craft room/space ... can't wait to see them!!

Please spread the word and join in!!

Blues and 3's!

I was up rather earlier than I would have liked this morning, thanks to my phone telling me my battery was flat .. .so considerate of it at 6am!!

So I made a card, as you do!!
It fits these challenges -
Wags n Whiskers - 3 of something ... 3 shapes (circle/square/rectangle), 3 patterned papers, 3 flowers
Stamp and Create monthly challenge
- flowers
Sketch Saturday - sketch, although I resized some of the elements
Simon Says Stamp - Summertime blues .. umbrella as it rains in Summer!!
Colour Create - Ivory, duck egg +1 from photo inspiration ( I chose brown and green ... and I am sure there is a smidge of purple in that pic!!)

I coloured the image using my pens and matted it onto blue cardstock. I know a little purple has crept in, but I really wanted to use these papers LOL!! I added some flowers, organza ribbon and a bow.
I still have a poorly eye, and its making feel groggy ... but its the last day of freedom before the girels are back, so I want to do some crafting this afternoon, when the little girl I mind goes home.
