Alice in Wonderland

I have had a fustrating morning ... why do black, grey and red pens have to bleed!!

Anyway I finally managed to get a card made .. no red though, well a teeny tiny bit!!  And it fits these challenges ...
Papertake Weekly - Cold and Frosty Morning
Oh Alice! Challenge - Remembering Holiday Dreams (I chose blue colour scheme)
Stampin for the weekend - New and blue

I ccoloured Alice in using my pens and then used my nestie labels to mat her up.  I stuck to a white background, just scoring it into a diamond pattern, half with the scoring ridge up and half down (if that makes any sense!!).  I added some blue gingham ruffle ribbon, some pale blue gems and lots of stickles ... very frosty, icy.

Now Alice's hair may not be as yellow as some people might think it should be ... but my off blond daughter has begun complaining that all the images I colour with blond hair have very blond hair like Beth, and "it ISN'T FAIR"!!  Quote, unquote, so I had a go at Ellie's hair.

Alice is from one of January's amazing releases from InStyle Stamps.  Take a look at Fairy Tales! A brand new rubber stamp set with six fairy tale inspired images. Snow White, Rapunzel, Alice, Sleeping Beauty, Thumbelina, And Red Riding Hood - they are all in there in amazing detail, just waiting for you to create with them! Fairy Tales will retail for $21.95, and will be available for purchase in the store just after CHA.

InStyle Stamps release week

Its Instyle Stamps release week and there are some fabulous stamps in the release. To see all the stamps and the Design team's fabulous creations check out the Instyle Stamps blog.

Summer Breeze is on of the stamps available to buy from 20th August ... it reminds me of a summer meadow .. you can almost hear the bird singing and the bee buzzing!
I coloured the iamge using my pens, and then chose these hot summery papers from K and Co (Que Sera). I matted onto white cardstock, and added some white ribbon, and punched flowers.

Remember this image will be available from 20th August at Instyle Stamps.

I am entering this card into this week's Everybody Art Challenge as the theme is In the Garden.

InStyle Stamps blog hop

It's monthly blog hop time with the InStyle Stamps team, and this is my first. Every month our blog hops have a theme and this month it is Christmas in July. There is a prize for voting and leaving a comment ... check out the InStyle Stamps blog for more details, and a full list of the blog hoppers.

If you are following hop you should have arrived from Kimme, if you haven't then you can start the blog hop from the InStyles blog.

I used Snowman and son from the fall/holidays release, and you can find it here. Aren't they a couple of cute snowies?!! I coloured them with my pens and then cut them out using my nesties. I added glamour dust to the hats and as snow. I love adding ribbon and this satin and organza one is fab for Christmas.

Now you need to hop along to Simone to see her card.

Instyle Stamps International DT

I have some exciting news .. I have been chosen to be on Instyle Stamps International Design Team - YAY!! I am really excited to be working with the team ... and I love their Anime range of stamps!

This month is Instyle Stamps holiday month. We will be debuting the new Halloween,Harvest/fall and Winter images, which are released this week, on the Instyle blog.
Do pop over and take a peek at the gorgeous creations the girls have made using the images.

As I am trying not to think about Christmas, I have started off with the autumn stamps! This is Jocelyn, and doesn't she look like she is having fun in the leaves! I have 2 little girls that love the big piles of leaves ... and jumping in them!! I coloured the image in using promarkers and copics, before inking the edges with an off gold ink pad. The papers are Basic Grey and I added a ribbon and bow, and a layered flower. The scalloped edge is created using a Martha Stewart punch.
This card uses the image, Harvest Veggies. I love squashes and we have a farm near by that grows about 15 different types ... yummy!! Again the image is coloured using my pens ... it took some playing around to get the colours near the correct colour! The image and mat are cut using my deckled nesties and the image's edges inked up. I added orange raffia for texture and some organza ribbon.
