Visible image DT post

Today I am showing you a funky card I made using a selection of stamps from Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image Blog Badge, Blinkie

I went for something a little different for me and tried out a new technique.  I stamped and masked off the Live your dreams sentiment, before stamping  the retro dots background and the grunge check background  in black versafine ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.   I created circle stensils using my nesties and then used distress inks to colour those circles in over sections of the card.  The embossing powders resist the ink so there is no smudging.

And for more inspiration don't forget to check out the Visible Image's facebook page, and the Visible Image blog where we have a monthly challenge.  This month's theme is Sentimental September - rembmer you HAVE to use a Visible image stamp to be in with a chance to win a £20 spending spree over at the Visible image shop.

That Craft Place challenge

Its Sunday and that means it's time for a That Craft Place challenge and the theme this week is inspired by music -
I was inspired by a beautiful card Cheremane made and basically pinched her idea!!  I stamped the music stamp onto cream cardstock, and then distressed round the edges using victorian velvet distress ink.   I stitched round the edges of the cardstock. I stamped the butterfly onto the cream cardstock and then cut it out.  I curved the wings to create dimension and added the sentiment below it.  Finally I added some pearls.
