Thanks a bunch

I don't usually do pink, hate the colour, but I was asked to make a thank you card in pink ... oh and with a butterfly! Susan I can only apologise for what I am subjecting your eyes to!!!
Anyway, I cut the clock out of that dreaded colour and scored lines across the card blank and added ribbon and the stamped sentiment.  I cut a circle and put the chicken wire mask over it, before inking over it all in worn lipstick distress ink.  Before i removed the mask I spritzed the circle with popiscle glimmer mist.  I cut the butterfly dies  and spritzed the base one with the glimmer mist, and then inked the edges with worn lipstick when it was dry.  The upper butterfly was liberally glue penned and then glamour dusted.  I matted the circle onto the clock, added the butterfly and some pearls.

A quick post as I need to get Beth to her swimming lesson.  I made this male CAS card using a SU stamp, and simply matting the dp onto crumb cake cardstock, and distressing the edges.  I used a punch to create the scalloped edges and offset the mat and dp to create waves.  Finally I stamped the sentiment and added the twine and button.

A bit of silver and blue

This week's Crafting Time theme is Silver and Blue, and I instantly thought of Christmas trees!!!  Don't ask why I am not sure myself.

I love all things IndigoBlu so thought it would be a perfect excuse to play with this fab Christmas tree, Merry Christmas.  For both cards I used navy blue and silver cardstock.

For my first play, I mean sample, I simply stamped the image in versamark ink and then embossed using silver embossing powder before layering up onto silver card and the card blank.

The second card using the same stamp, but this time I used IndigoBlu gilding flakes. You basically apply glue to your stamp, stamp and then rub the mega flakes over and scrub until you get a smooth finish - it is FAB!!  I love the change from mess to smooth perfection!!  You can either buy as starter kit, or buy the glue and different gliding flakes spearately - look here for the full range.

Hugs tag

I wanted to make a large gift tag for a friend, to go with the huge box of choccies I am giving her, just because she is always there for me.  I started off with the large tag and coloured it with worn lipstick distress stain.  When it was dry I stamped over it using the large striped background in sepia versafine ink.  I added some ruffled lace and pearl string to the bottom part of the tag. I stained some cardstock with vintage sepia distress stain and cut out the corner and border dies, and stamped and cut out the sentiment and flowers. I added pearls to the flower centres, cheesecloth and the coloured image.

The Craft Garden November challenge

Its a photo inspiration theme this time.

I wanted to use my gorgeous Lavinia fairies for this one, so I masked off a square, and the moon before inking up the background using dusty concord and black soot distress inks. Whilst the mat was in place I misted the square with pearl glimmer mist. Once the ink was dry  I stamped the fairy using versafine ink, and then stamped the foliage, ghosting some of it to create a misty feel to the background.
