bingo!!
We are sponsored this week by the lovely Jodie at Bugaboo Digi Stamps and one lucky entrant will have a choice of 7 digi images :-)
As I like to be different I went for a diagonal line, choosing gems, flowers and punches/dies. I stamped this Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy, Spread your Wings, onto kraft paper and coloured her using my prisma pencils. I do like kraft and love the effect when you colour onto it. I stamped round the edges of the image using a prima stamp and sepia ink. The dp is Magnolia and I painted the edges with of whirte acrylic paint and then added a lace stamp, again stamped in sepia. The flowers and bird cage are Tin Holtz dies. I stamped a text stamp over the flowers and added some purple ink to them, before scrunching up. Finally I added gems to their centres. The bird cage is made from grungeboard which I painted with TH picket fence crackle paint, and then scruffed up a bit with vintage photo ink. I added some gingham ribbon and some lace that I stained using the teapot and stewed tea!!! And some flate backed gems.
Now it just needs a sentiment ... it is for a friend's daughter who is finally flying the nest and renting her own flat ... scarry for her, Mum seems quite pleased LOL!!!
And before I go ... don't forget today is the start of Sugar Nellie's Carnival of colour ...18 new stamps are released and they are gorgeous ... trust me!!!! I have been saving my pennies for it!!
