Icoloured the image (Stroppy Beth) in using a mix of promarkers and flexmarkers.  The dp is MME Stella Rose and I distressed all the edges using trust TH tool.  I added some ribbon, Prima flowers and flat backed pearls (must get some more of these!) and that is pretty much it.

Eskimo Bauble

I really need to get a move on with my Christmas cards, so I have been having a play to find some quick and easy makes ...
I love the latest Christmas stamps from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, especially the baubles and Nordic Winter sets.  I stamped the bauble in cherry cobbler ink and the masked and stamped the pink detail from the Nordic Winter set.  I used the square frame from WMS Frame it set to frame the bauble and added the sentiment from the Frame it set.  Finally I doodled a hanging loop.  The dp is BG Eskimo Kisses and I added some white seam binding, tied a knot and added a pink button.

I also signed up for an SU workshop and made this ...

I had a brilliant time ... Got slightly achy feet now. We are finishing off the day by taking the girls out for a posh tea

Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday ...

Its Wednesday, and I'd like to say I've been having a productive week, with the children being off school and me not working ... but both girls have been sick!!!  They find all those ways to stop me getting in my craft room!  Thankfully they are both better now.

Here is my space ...
Mid-creating ... stamps, nesties, ink ... and the trusty ipad!!!!!

A closer look reveals the background i have stamped using some Waltzing Mouse stamps and the bauble stamps they have released to fit nestie baubles ... I just HAD to have them LOL!!

Jack the ribbon killer is curled up on my chair ... banished after having a little poke at the blue ribbon!!!

We are off to Scotland today with the girls for a few days (I am off to the SECC!) so I had better get tidied and start packing.!

If you want to join in the fun (I'll be nosing whilst on the train!!) pop over to Julia's blog for all the links!

Too-whit-too-woo

Fiona picked a cake from Pinterest for this week's Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge that had pink on it - PLEASE!!!!  It also had lots of chocolate and an owl ... so i had to use Oscar from the Sugar Nellie Homegrown range, and coloured him using my promarkers and then cut him out. I matted him onto a brown cardstock oval which i embossed with  leaf pattern. The dp is 'borrowed' from the girls' craft stash, and I added some bakers twine, layered flowers and flat pearls.  It is waiting for the sentiment - I have no stamps that  say "New Job" and the printer is not printing properly so I can't get the sentiment printed out.  I did think about doodling the sentiment but I don't like my handwriting on cards ... not quite right, if you know what I mean!

Challenges:
I love Promarkers - aint it cute (well I think Oscar is cute!!)
Simon Says Stamp - inspired by a nursery rhyme or fairytale (Wise Old Owl)
Charisma Cardz - embossing
CES - new beginnings - its for a friend's new job when i can get that sentiment sorted!!
Sketch Saturday - sketch

And here is that Nursery rhyme ...

A wise old owl sat in an oak,
The more he heard, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard;
Why aren't we all like that wise old bird?

Circles

Its the weekend .. .and 3 parties today so busy, busy, busy! Hopefully after all that excitement the girls will sleep tonight!!
I've sneaked up into my craftroom in between washing and ironing to make a card.   I went for something a bit different for me ... the polka dot circles are created using the inverted polka dots from the Of Beat psatterns set from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I cut and layered them using my nesties.  I cut the off square again with my nesties.  I stamped this Hero Arts collage stamp onto the card blank and then placed thae cardstock over the top.  Finally I added some polka dot ribbon and tied a knot.

 Challenges:
Less is More - polka dots
Scrapbook Sisters - Circles
Waltzing mouse sketch challenge - sketch

Sweet Stampin DT card

This week's Sweet Stampin challenge is
HALLOWEEN!
We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

I used Silhouette - skull tree for my card.

Now I am not a big fan of Halloween cards ... so this has been a bit of a, well challenge!!! Sorry its not the best pic, but i had to take it at an angle so my reflection wasn't on it!!

The image is printed onto acetate.  I created the background by using distress inks on a peice of carstock.  I punched a circle and tacked it down so I would have a white moon.   I roughly stamped round the edges using a Lavinia bamboo stamp, before sticking the image over the top of it.  I airbrushed some white raffia lace black and stamped a WMS sentiment, again stamped onto a background created with distress inks.  The dp is Basic Grey Eerie.

This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is Lots of Layers.

I used Old St Nick from Sugar Nellie and coloured him in using my promarkers.  The dp is Nitwits and I stitched the papers together.  I made a couple of paper beads, added a layered ponisettia diecut flower and some red gingham ribbon.

Sugar Bowl #70

Its Maria Therese's sketch over at the Sugar Bowl challenge this week, and the optional extra is CAS (Clean and Simple).
One lucky winner of this challenge will have their choice of 4 stamps (or 6 stamps, if we reach 100+ entries) either from the new release or any stamps from the Sugar Nellie range at
logo
And here is my card ...
I used Old St Nick and coloured him using my promarkers in brown to create a sepia look.  I cut him and the mat out using my deckled rectangles from Spellbinders.  I used the same promarkers and my airbrush to create the rolled paper, and then stamped the poem Twas the night before Christmas onto it, before rolling and tying with hemp twine.  The layered snowflakes behind are cut from SU Crumb cake and kraft papers (I blame my lovely SB DT buddy Erika for the slight obsession I have with Spellbinders dies at the moment!!).  i stamped the sentiment and added some flat backed pearl to finish.

WOYWW

Its Wednesday so time for Whats on your Workdesk, led by the talented Julia.

Welllllll ... NOTHING ...
Just some pads of cardstock, digi papers, the FC image from last week, and the Finnish stars!!  I have been creative just not really finished much!!!

I childmind for a family who work shifts ... Earlies means I get no crafting time, as they arrive, well early, leave at about 3.30, just as the rest of the kids arrive!!  So on Earlies weeks I don't get much crafting in.

But while I was taking this pic our kitten Jack decided to investigate the reasonably clear space ...
and found ...
and killed the pink gingham ribbon!!!!
He's a big BRAVE kitty kat!!!

Hopefully this space will be more busy next week as it is half term and I am NOT working ... WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!  And the girls are away for a couple of days ... craft room here i come!!

Oh and finally .. .my little bit of news ... I have joined the Craft Garden Design team ... really looking forward to my first challenge.

Fairytale

I haven't inked this cutie up for AGES ... hubby reckons that's because i have too many stamps LOL!!  Yeah right, as if you can have too many stamps!
Fairy Tale is from Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy range and I coloured her using my promarkers.  The dp is Tilda and Co and I machine stitched the layers.  The cardstock is scored using my score board to create a detail for the spotty ribbon to sit between.  Finally a heart button to the bow's centre and a couple of flower buttons.

 Challenges:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Saturated Canary - stitching
Cupcake Craft - buttons and bows
Pink Elephant - scoring

Anyone for cocktails??

I'm not a cocktail drinker .. .wouldn't know how to mix one ... but at August Bank Holiday I was served a Vodka Martini ... WOW .. .blew  my mind, it was gorgeous (just rather more than I could drink!!)

This week's Less is More challenge is a theme ... cocktails!!  I stamped this set of glasses from a Papermania Christmas stamp set in my new SU stamps and matted onto co-ordinating paper.  The sentiment was the hardest part ... I wanted to stamp cheers, but the stamp was too big (typical!!) so I went with this sentiment from a Whimsy Christmas Ticket set.  Well cocktails are naughty .. but very nice!!  I deliberately stamped it at an angle!

We are off to Blackpool to the sealife centre and to see the illuminations with the girls .. .no doubt there will be fish and chips somewhere along the way!!

Basic Grey Challenge

Its time for another Basic Grey Challenge, and the theme this time is ...

Fall/Autumn/Halloween

I used Best Witches from the Simply Sassy range over at Sugar Nellie, and coloured her with my promarkers.  I used my octagonal nesties to cut her out and deliberately off-centred her on the shape (hubby mentioned that the shape was wonky ... what does he know??!!)  The dp is Basic Grey Eerie, and I matted it onto distressed cardstock.  I added some purple webbing and some orange lacey ribbon, before layering up a flower.

As always, our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore, just think of the goodies you could treat yourself to with that !!

Simon Says Stamp $25 Credit Voucher
(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)

Challenges:
Cupcake Craft challenge - halloween
Everybody-Art-Challenge - halloween
Creative Card Crew - Spooky fun
Simon Says Stamp - Halloween/goth
Stamp with Fun - sketch
Crafty creations - 3 dp, 2 embellishments, 1 image.
Fuss and Fancy - fall/halloween
Just Us Girls - halloween colours
Craft Your Days Away - Halloween colours
One Stop Craft Challenge - Halloween

I also had a go at making a quick card, again using Basic Grey Eerie, and the text from Wlatzing Mouse Stamps Hocus Pocus set ... I promised myself that I wouldn't add any embellishment ... still embellishment free, but it is killing me lOL!!!
