Ther's my new flexmarkers from letraset (thank you Debbie xx) that I have yet to put in my bag. Some Crafter's Companion Humprey's decoupage that friend's mum bought and didn't want. Having seen what Ali did with her's I thought I might have a go at die-cut decoupage ... cost me a couple of sets of nesties I was going to sell anyway! At the front of my desk some parcel paper that has been painted with acrylic paint is drying, and a flower i have made from scratch with my latest new hobby!! The gingham ribbon and jam jar are for a DT project later this week.
My hubby does 17th century re-enactment and we go through lots of braid, and he now wants frogging for a jacket I am making him ... it all costs a fair bit and frays as you have to cut the lengths of braid ... so I have taken up luceting, which dates back to the Viking times. Its quick to learn, you get lots of braid in a short time and can turn it into frogging. Its fab!!
So here is the tool and my braid ... I have used 2 colours of silk to create a multi-tone braid ...
And here is the braid looped and stitched into a flower.
I just need a button to cover the stiching and ends in the centre ... how cool is that!!
And don't forget the latest Sugar Nellie release of gorgeous sweetness is tomorrow ... and the Sugar Nellie and Sugar Bowl design teams are having a blog hop ... hop over to join in the fun!! Click the pic to go to the blog.
Now I am going ot have a peek round blogland courtesy of the lovely Ms Dunnit.
