Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday ...

...well rather alot!!!! Its very ... err "busy" for me!!!
Ther's my new flexmarkers from letraset (thank you Debbie xx) that I have yet to put in my bag.  Some Crafter's Companion Humprey's decoupage that  friend's mum bought and didn't want.  Having seen what Ali did with her's I thought I might have a go at die-cut decoupage ... cost me a couple of sets of nesties I was going to sell anyway!  At the front of my desk some parcel paper that has been painted with acrylic paint is drying, and a flower i have made from scratch with my latest new hobby!!  The gingham ribbon and jam jar are for a DT project later this week.

My hubby does 17th century re-enactment and we go through lots of braid, and he now wants frogging for a jacket I am making him ... it all costs a fair bit and frays as you have to cut the lengths of braid ... so I have taken up luceting, which dates back to the Viking times.  Its quick to learn, you get lots of braid in a short time and can turn it into frogging.  Its fab!!
So here is the tool and my braid ... I have used 2 colours of silk to create a multi-tone braid ...
And here is the braid looped and stitched into a flower.
I just need a button to cover the stiching and ends in the centre ... how cool is that!!

And don't forget the latest Sugar Nellie release of gorgeous sweetness is tomorrow ... and the Sugar Nellie and Sugar Bowl design teams are having a blog hop ... hop over to join in the fun!!  Click the pic to go to the blog.

Now I am going ot have a peek round blogland courtesy of the lovely Ms Dunnit.

This week's Less is More challenge is to Take 3 Challenges ...

I used some of my SU stash (certain Scottish friends have alot to answer for!!!!).  I inked up my holly wheel in green ink (it has a name, but that's upstairs and I'm in a bit of a rush this morning!!), and then trimmed it.  I stamped the SU sentiment onto the cardstock and then embossed the cardstock.  Finally I added some flat backed pearls.  Now I have already said this to hubby (as his rection was less than the enthusiasm I expected!) ... I LOVE it, and if you don't tough!!!!!
I used challenges from:
 wk 18 - monochrome
Wk 15 - embossing
Wk 29 - use ink

And look what I no longer have the chance to win LOL!!!!

Sherbet Pips

Marlene has designed this week's sketch, and the optional theme is girly.

I used one of my favourite Sassy's Butterflies and Pigtails, and coloured her in using my promarkers and copics.  The dp is MME Lime Twist, and they go perfectly with this image.  The embellies are a little limited as I made it while on holiday ... so just some organza ribbon and some flat backed pearls.

Santa collage

Now you either love him or hate him .. .that's the stamp, not the Big fella himself, think we all love him LOL!!

I stamped him in balck ink for a change and coloured his face and beard in using promarkers, before cutting him out using my deckled nesties.  The white cardstock has been embossed using a snowflakes folder, and I paper pierced both it and the black gingham paper.  I added stickles to some die cut snowflakes and some of the snowflakes on the background.

Fragile Beauty

I was up VERY early this morning thanks to an excited little one .. we are off to the cinema this afternoon ... before my eyes opened her little voice hit me with "when are we going mummy?"!!!!  so I had time for a bit of crafting before I started work.
I coloured Fragile Beauty from Sugar Nellie's Homegrown range in using my pens.  The dp is one I got AGES ago from a friend off a previous DT, so no idea what it is, but its my last sheet!  I added  doilly, some WOC flowers, and some punched butterflies and pearls.
There is a 'hidden' gift envelope that fits a credit card style voucher, but its actually an ATC envelope template.  I added a strip of dp, a punched butterfly and some pearls.

Sunday's offerings ...

All the unpacking has been done, washing on, children have re-familiarised themselves with all their toys (house is now a mess!!) and the hoover has blown up ... but amid all that I have made a card!!!

A very simple card I admit!!  I used a SU stamp, and used my pencils to colour in bits of it.  I paper periced round the card blank and then thought I would use a whirte pencil rather than gel pen to stitch ... not the best effect, but lesson duly learned!!  Finally I added some bakers twine.

CHallenges:
Less is More  - things that move
Fab n Funky - stitch in time
Charisma Cardz - negative space

Sugar Nellie are getting ready for their next release of stamps ... ohh and they are CRACKING, you will not only want them but NEED them!!!
Right I am off to get some food shopping done - the family seem to want me to feed them!!  and buy a new hoover ... joy of joys!
