Little Ballerina and Rosy

I have made a card using Little Ballerina by LOTV .. but I didn't want to be too girly ... so she's blue and black (rather than black and blue!!!)

I coloured her using my distress inks and then cut her out and matted her onto these layered circles.  The dp is Basic Grey Periphery.  I added some ribbon from my stash and some flowers.

It fits these challenges:
Lili of Valley - circles
Charisma Cardz - Black, white + 1 (blue)
Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
PollyCraft- 3 circles (well there are 2, you can just see half of 2 of them!)

My 2nd card uses one of my favourite stamps, just not used it for ages ...
I do have a bit of a thing about House Mouse stamps, theose meeces are sooo adorable!!  I paper pieced the main part of the cup and watercoloured the mouse using distress inks.  I layered the mouse up to add some depth. Imade my own flower using layered, distressed circles and some organza ribbon.

Simply Sassy Windswept

I have been having a play with my distress inks and watercolour paper, instead of the linen cardstock I have always stamped on ... I love the watercolour paper, just need to practise getting the shading right!
I'm also having a bit of a brown, and Sugar Nellie week!!
This is Windswept - don't you love that hair!!  She is watercoloured and then I distressed the background and edges.  I kept the embellishments really simple, just some raffia and satin ribbon from my stash and a layered flower.  The gem brad and pearls are also from my stash.
 Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Coffee and Cream

Sketch Saturday - sketch
Pollycraft challenge - pearls and diamonds

And a CAS card ... do love these cards.
This is Joy, one of SN's digis, again printed on watercolour paper, and then coloured using distress inks.  I inked the edges in pink, and then all the white cardstock in pink.  Very simple.

Challenges:
The Sugar Bowl - sketch and CAS

I have been given this award by Valerie, thank you Valerie.

I will have a think about 7 random facts LOL!!  And would like to pass it on to everyone who follows and comments on my blog xx

Simon Says Stamp Challenge GDT

I am so excited ... I am guest designing for the fantastic Simon Says Stamp Challenge ... thank you for asking me:)

As usual the lovely Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 spree to her Simon Says Stamp store. New goodies are arriving everyday in the store so there is no better time to take part and be in with a chance of winning our fantastic prize !!!

This week's theme is Coffee and Cream, and the Design Team are showcasing Whiff of Joy stamps ...

I used Willow for my card, and coloured her using my promarkers.  I then distressed around the edges of Willow, just a little too paley round her!!  I then cut her out using nesties and stamped a grunge stamp around her.  The dp are MME and I stamped a Kelly Pannaci border stamp down the edge.  The folwers were made using a Marianne Creatible die, with brown flat backed pearls in the centre.

And as it is wednesday here is my desk for WOYWW
Not much really ... I have been really busy, and plagued with headaches so I haven't been crafting for the last few days.  A few people asked what's in the little basket ... stamped images ready to colour, and some that are coloured ready to go on DT projects .. .sorry not that exciting really!!!  I hope to get to see more desks this week, headache permitting.
Recipe:
Stamp(s):  Whiff of Joy Willow with hot chocolate; Stempleglede Grunge set, Heidi Pannaci border set

I really should NOT have looked!!!  I am also entering it for this week's Just Magnolia challenge ... its for my Mum ... and I love her lots!

And now for my CAS card ...

I am really loving my white spaces!!!  And loving blogging more of these cards.  I used a digi from Pollycraft and coloured it using my pens.  I embossed the bottom half of the white cardstock, and then scored it, before adding some green braid.

Basic Grey Challenge

I am so excited, I have been picked as part of the AMAZING Basic Grey Challenge DT ... and you know how much I LOVE my BG papers!!!.  I am really honoured to have been picked ... thank you xx!
The challenge this time is a fab sketch done by our own lovely Heather...

Here's my card ....

I used Daisy by Sugar Nellie and coloured her using my pens, before cutting her out using my nesties.  I rotated the sketch to fit the image, and used Basic Grey Origins papers, matted onto green cardstock.  I layered brown satin ribbon and gren organza ribbon, and made a bow (very fiddly and not on my repeat soon list!!).  The flowers are from my stash, and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
Here is a closer look at the front ...
I am gonig to enter this into this week's Allsorts challenge - inspired by nature.

Blue and cream/brown

My favourite colour combo is blue and brown/cream ... but its not a very popular one among the people I send/sell cards to!!!

Now I have to take issue with Lili of the Valley .. .they really shouldn't make such adorable stamps LOL!!!  So irresistable!!!  I coloured this one in using my promarkers and cut it out with my Labels Nesties.  The dp are by Nitwit (another addiction coming on there I think LOL!!!) and the flowers and butterfly are punched out.  The raffia lace and satin ribbon is from my stash, as are the flat backed pearls that I arranged in a fashion into a swirl!!!!

So it fits these challenges:
Lili of the Valley - favourite colours
Wags n Whiskers - punches
Trully Scrumptious - pearls and swirls
Creative Card Crew - friendship

A little play

I had a little play this afternoon, experimenting with a technique that Marlene showed a while ago on her blog.

I stamped up this arty Leanne Ellis stamp from Sugar Nellie, All is not lost, onto black cardstock using versamark, and then embossed her using red embossing powder.  I repeated the embossing with a hero Art s script stamp for the background .
I coloured the image in using bleach, putting more bleach where i wanted the iamge to be paler.  I got a little impatient and used my heat gun to dry it, and this seemed to make the bleach go whiter.  I made a flower using red cardstock, stamped with the Hero Arts script stamp.  I cut three circles out, distressed them with my TH distreesing tool and so starlight black ink, scrunched them, and then added the black brad.  Finally some red organza ribbon to finish.

Think I need to experiment more!!!!

I am entering into these challenges:
Paper Play - Add Shine ... I think the embossing counts as shiny
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny
Simon Says Stamp challenge - make your own embellishments
Fab n Funky - make your own embellishments

DutchDare Card Challenge

This week's challenge is sparkle/glitter/bling .. .so I made a Christmas card LOL!!
Suzette from Crafty Sentiments is our sponsor this week.

She has some fabulous new releases, so make sure you pay her shop a visit and see what goodies you can find!

I used this cute Snowpeople couple from Sugar Nellie and coloured it in using my promarker.  I added stickles to the snowpeople and round the edges of the image.  The dp are Basic Grey Jovial, and I added some red adhesive gems.  I punched some snowflakes and then painted them in a couple of layers of Plaid glitter glue (irridescent), before adding stickles and a red gem.  IRL they are all shimmery and sparkly ... shame it doesn't show :(

I followed the sketch from this week's Stamp with Fun challenge, and as its all glittery, sparkly and blingy it also fits this week's Papertake challenge.  As I made my own snowflakes (well from a punch and then tatted them up!!) I am also entering this into this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge and Fab n Funky make your own embellishments challenges.

A Sugar Nellie, and Ali's new blog addy

Beth and I had some 'bonding' time today.  Recently I have had the urge to bond her with anything but love, possibly Superglue, as she is being an imp.  Today I thought I would spend some 'our' time with her to see if it improved her impish ways!

So we made this ...

Beth chose the image (Lurve a Latte by Sugar Nellie), and then helped me stamp it up. I coloured it using my Promarkers and hen Beth went round the outside with the blending pen!!  She chose the embossing folders, turned the handle, distressed the edges and sanded them ... yep she did all the messy bits!!  She picked the ticket out and added it at its cheeky angle ... so basically all I did was colour!!

We are entering it into this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge - Coffee and Cream.

Now my lovely blogging buddy Ali has moived her blog as she is having problems with Blogger.  You can find her here ...

InStyle Stamps projects

I am a little behind on posting my projects for InStyle Stamps .. .some been posted on the ISS blog but not here, so here they all are.  They all use stamps from the latest release, Patty's Pretty Posies.

I used Fower Row for this very CAS card I made this morning...
The image is simply stamped across the card blank and coloured in using my copics (BV000, BV02, YG03 YG11), and the sentiment stamped onto the corner.

It fits both this week's Totally Papercrafts CAS challenge, and Less is More's OLC + flowers or trees challenge, and The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - a stamped flower.

Here is bird bath ...
Again coloured with my pens and then cut out using my nesties.  The dp is Basic Grey Pyrus.  I added some flowers and ribbon from my stash.

Here is Flower Row again, using the sketch from this month's sketch challenge.
I coloured the image in using my promarkers (canary, yellow and primrose, apple, meadow green and leaf).  I added lots of little dots in the background (pastel blue), and then cut out using a MArianne Creatible die, and inked the edges in yellow.  The dp is Basic Grey Origins, with some braid from my stash.

Finally here is Flower Row again ... it was posted on Wednesday's Plaid highlight .. yep I'm late!!
I sprayed a terracotta pot white and then stamped the image round the top several times ... and left it to dry for 2 days.  I did a couple of test stamps on the inside to check when it was dry!!

Using papers from Basic Grey's Koishi pad that I am not keen on, I created this serendipity effect.  I used Plaid's Mod Podge glue for outdoors, and stuck the paper on.  I then covered it with 3 layers of the glue, letting each dry before adding the next .. so I can use it outside (hopefully!!).  I am entering this into this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge - anything but a card.

Mum and Dad's wedding Anniversary card

I am trying to get ahead of myself, and make a few cards to tick off birthdays and anniversaries in the family ... so here is Mum and Dad's Wedding Anniversary card .. .they will have been married 46 years this year!!!!

I used this adorable LOTV image and coloured it using my pens.  I followed the sketch over at this week's Lili of the Valley Challenge.  I used Basic Grey Marjolaine for the dp, and added some ribbon and punched heart.  I fitted 4 hearts together to create leaves for the little satin rose.
Challenges it fits:
Totally Gorguss - Love
Cute Card Thursday - Hearts and flowers
PaperPlay - hearts and flowers, but not Valentines
One Stop Crafts - Loveis in the air

I will be back in a bit with a catch up of some DT work that I should have blogged during the week ... its been a bad week!!

I have been meaning to make this joy fold card since Sunday when the challegne was posted on th Sugar Nellie Facebook page ... finally this morning I got round to it!!

I adore this Simply Adorables, especially this one, Joy.  She is coloured using my Promarkers and then the edges have been inked.  I used the sketch from this week's Sugar Bowl challenge, and attempted the optional colour theme.  The dp is by Fancy pants and I added some lace, flowers and buttons.  I used the greeting to secure the fold down.

Here is a view of it open ....

Challenges it fits:
I Love Promarkers - birthday
Stampavie and more - lace and buttons
