Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge wk 94

It's the lovely Mel's turn to choose the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge theme, and she has chosen Hot Wheels.

I used this fab new manga from Sugar Nellie and used my promarkers and copic pens to colour it in, before cutting it out. I embossed some white core cardstock with my spider's web embossing folder and sanded it. The papers are Basic Grey Oliver, and finally I added some little brads.

InStyle Stamps blog hop

It's monthly blog hop time with the InStyle Stamps team, and this is my first. Every month our blog hops have a theme and this month it is Christmas in July. There is a prize for voting and leaving a comment ... check out the InStyle Stamps blog for more details, and a full list of the blog hoppers.

If you are following hop you should have arrived from Kimme, if you haven't then you can start the blog hop from the InStyles blog.

I used Snowman and son from the fall/holidays release, and you can find it here. Aren't they a couple of cute snowies?!! I coloured them with my pens and then cut them out using my nesties. I added glamour dust to the hats and as snow. I love adding ribbon and this satin and organza one is fab for Christmas.

Now you need to hop along to Simone to see her card.

Dutchdare Challenge ... Anything goes

It has been a long while since I submitted a DT card for the DutchDare Card Challenge ... I have had a bit of a break. But I think I can get back in there now so here is my card for the theme Anything Goes.

I coloured this fab SN manga using my promarkers and copics, and then did a dot background. I followed the sketch over at Everybody-Art-Challenge and used the Pocketfull of Posies peach and aqua colour challenge to help me decide my colours. The papers are very glitterly and strokeable so I just inked the edges and added some punched flowers and a ribbon and bow.

Here is part of a creation that you can find here. Ellie and Beth would love you to visit their blog and make a comment on yesterday's paintings! Here is a taster!

WOYWW and a wedding card (no peeking Carlyann!!)

I actually remembered to take a photo today for Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday ... usually I tidy up and then go doh!!! Yes I am a tidy crafter .. .everything gets put back in its place as I go along and when i have finished for the day.

So here is work in progress ... image and papers for the Pocketfull of Posies Peach and aqua challenge .. hence the pens! Also some images coloured ready to get onto cards. This is messy for me ... I would have more space to spread but ....
as you can see hubby has taken over half my work space with his bus modelling!! When he first did the room it was abouta quarter of my desk ... it has doubled in size, and often I have to move his things off my work space before I can start ... suggestions?!!

I have made a card for Carlyann from Charisma Cardz as she is getting married very, very soon!!
It also fits a few challenges:
Pollycraft Challenge - wedding/anniversary
Papertake Weekly - sketch
Simon Says Stamp - going dotty
Stampavie and more - black, white + 1 ... in this case cream
Creative Inspirations - animals

The image is a frebie from Polycraft .. I love these bears. I coloured them using copics and then added liquid pearls and stickles. The dp is new (bought at Penrith Crafts while I was away for Samantha's wedding) and it is scrummy, all pearlised and very strokeable! I added some cream ribbon and flowers.

Green Miss Thang

EEEEEK GREEN!!!! yep Passion for Promarkers want predominately green for their challegne this week .... EEEEKKKKK!!
Having calmed down I combined it with this week's Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenge which is a fab sketch.

Miss Thang is coloured using my promarkers. I had forgotten about this BG pack that I have - plenty of green in it :) I placed the image and the bands from it at an angle ... she has enough attitude to cope with it!! I added some card candy and flowers from my stash to complete it.

I now need to recover from the green panic!!!

Yay!!! A card :)

We have been away for a couple of days for Samantha's wedding ... she was beautiful, he was handsome, and I learned a few Sardinian customs!!! 1 brought tears to my eyes!!

Anyway I coloured this image while I was away, so just needed to get it on some papers with some embellies!
It fits these challenges:
Basic Grey - stitching
Create4fun - flowersSweet Stamping - vintage
Friday Sketcher - sketch
Wild Orchid Crafts - lovely lace
Allsorts - baby/child (its made for a friend's little girl who is 4)
Totally Gorguss - congratulations (its the little girl's card for going to 'big' school ... I'm counting that as congratulations!)
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
I coloured the image using my pens and then added some swrils/scrolls stamped in gold. Both the cardstok and dp have been distressed using my TH distressing tool and gold ink. I added some lace, WOC flowers and some faux stitching in gold gel pen to finish it off.

Emma over at Crafty Emma's store is looking for DT members so if you are interested pop over and have look .. the DT call is open until 8th August.

Just a short post ... tea sounds like it is boiling over!!!!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge week 93

It's the lovely Janes turn to choose the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge theme, and she has chosen Fairytales.
I based my DT card on the story The Little Mermaid ...
And you guessed it ... I just had to use this gorgeous Mermaid Tilda from the latest kit! She is masked on to the seaweed from the same kit. I coloured her using distress inks and then added lots of stickles!! I have kept it all simple as I really didn't want to hide the gorgeous dp ... it is so sparkly and glittery and I thought the circles would work well with the bubbles. I added some co-ordinating lace - it is supposed to be wavy! Non of my flowers looked right on ... so it looks a bit plain, I think I need to add to it .. .so another shopping trip is in order!

Gosh ... 2 more cards this week!

I had a few failures on the colouring front last night, but thankfully managed to find my colouring mojo today!! Before i share my cards with you, can I ask if you would take a trip to my daughter Ellie's blog to see the creations she has made for her teachers .. .she loves to get comments on her blog, so please take a minute to make her day.

I love LOTV stamps and am slowly getting quite a collection so I have used their sketch challenge to make this birthday card for one of Ellie's friends.

This cute little boy is coloured in using my promarkers and copics. The papers are by Smirk and I added a tag I found floating at the bottom of my embellishment basket. I used card candy to finish it off.

I have been working on the Stampin' for the Weekend recipe challenge for a week now .. and have finally got round to finishing it!! I have combined it with the Trully Scrumptious sketch and Wags n Whiskers stitching challenges.
Danni and Bella are coloured using promarkers and copics, and I cut them out using my nesties and inked the edges. I added glamour dust to Bella's hat and stocking. The ribbon is recycled from a huge basket of smellies I got ages ago, and I added gems to the flowers rather than charms. All the papers are faux stitched using white gel pen.

I am off to do the school run, followed by playing at a friend's house, and then to the Pre-school supervisor's leaving do.

Blue and White

I had an evening crafting last night, and managed to get 1 card made! It fits this week's Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenge, which is a sketch, and Everybody-Art-Challenge, which is blue and white.
Now I did miss the flowers off the sketch, partly as I hadn't any that matched the blues and the white ones looked silly, and partly the person who is going to get this doesn't do flowers, pink, well anything remotely girly! Hubby thought punched border was pushing it a bit LOL!

The image is coloured using promarkers and I cut it out using my nesties. I inked round the image and managed to get it everywhere! I punched the dp using a EK success punch and added a white ribbon and bow. the sentiment was stamped directly onto the dp. To compensate for no flowers I added 3 deep blue pearls!

It was Beth's last coffee morning of the school year, so I have been running around serving tea, and sorting out behind the scenes, so am knackered now!! I am planning an afternoon of crafting with Ellie ... she is off poorly and needs to get cards made for her teacher and classroom assistants for tomorrow ... so no pressure there then LOL!!

Thank you card

The supervisor at pre-school is leaving on Friday, so I have made a card as a thank you and goodbye. Of course I managed a few challegnes on the way LOL!!
Allsorts - Summer days - hope this qualifies as it has summery flowers on it
Papertake Weekly - Cutie Patootie (Hanglars are sooo cute!)
Passion for Promarkers - distressing
Simon Says Stamp - sketch

I coloured the images using my promarkers and cut them out (masking turned out to be too difficult today LOL!!). I distressed the papers with my Tim Hltz tool and inked the edges. The punch is a Martha Stewart one. I was going to add flowers but they looked too cluttered so just the ribbon. I made the card slightly bigger than my card blank (dopey one I am!!0 so I have to now find an envelope to fit!

I am trying very hard to get back into blogging an hopping ... we have had loads of computer problems and life seems to be a bit full on. I really miss hopping round everyone's blogs and getting ideas.

ABC Challenge Z is for ...

This week's challenge is to make a Zig zag card, and the DT have excelled themselves.
This is the card I have made my lovely, very special friend, Samantha for her Wedding on Sunday. So no peeking Samantha!!

It has been a labour of love and a bit of an experiment!! So I apologise now for the amount of photos ... I am really pleased with the results, as for once an off the cuff idea has been really successful!!
The front uses a Magnolia wedding image coloured in promarkers and copics. I added flowers nad pearls and a punched scalloped edge. I followed the Just Magnolia sketch for it.

And the wallet with tag, and sentiment.
And the other side!
I adore this Magnolia Bride and bridesmaid image .. I have no idea what colours Samantha has chosen so went for blues!
Another view of the bride and bridesmaid and wallet. I am also entering it for the Wild Orchid Crafts challenge Say it with Flowers, as plenty of WOC roses on this..

A quick how I made the card ....

I cut 2 pieces of card 16 cm x 24 cm and scoreed at 12 cm on the long side.
I put them togeter so the left panel of 1 overlapped the right panel of the other, and stuck it down.
So it now looks like this - 3 panels each side.
And standing up!
I made to wallets using an envelope as a template and made smaller ones in the dp.

Here are the wallets made up.
I placed the wallet onto co-ordinating cardstock.
And here is the wallet attached inside the card.
